Manuco's get's five stars not because it's fancy, it isn't, but because the food is always really, really good. The yellow rice is something I crave and the mofongo with chicken is one of my favorite meals of all time, full of garlic and really yummy.
My five year old daughter loves the rice and chicken kid's meal... usually sucks the bone dry!
Every time we have visited, the owners have been running the show. The husband tends to the dining room while the wife and sometimes another family member are whipping up deliciousness in the kitchen.
The portions are usually big enough that I get a second meal out of an entree. So it becomes a value for me. It'd not fast food cheap, but most entrees are under $20
The flavors at Manuco's are unlike any other restaurant in the area, and they are well worth a try.
