Puerto Rican/ Spanish cuisine is not something you find very often in any suburb. What a treat it was to find Manuco's in a strip mall in Levittown! Located across the street from H-Mart and behind the Wendy's as other posters have noted, Manuco's is a small restaurant serving BIG food.Treats such as Mafongo,Trifongo, maduros, yucca, tostones and empanadas (to name a few of the offerings) served by a friendly, patient and gracious host, Daniel whose wife and mother do the cooking. This is not a fancy place, but the food and service are excellent.

The food is fantastic. They offer traditional Puerto Rican dishes as well as Colombian, Cuban and Mexican. We had a combination of everything including pork tacos, enchiladas, yucca fries and mofongo. Everything was complete perfection. Inside is nicely decorated with good music to set the mood. We will definitely be back.

I can not say enough good things about this place. Wide variety of Latin fusion food at a price that makes you feel like you are robbing the place. The food is delicious and the owners are hard working and kind and give the customers the highest level of service abs appreciation. Good food and food people!

Here’s another place where a “point 5” rating would come in handy. The restaurant is more than a 3 but not quite a 4 !

Dan our server (and owner ?) made several recommendations for us and could not have been more informative and gracious.

We shared the Potato Ball appetizer, which was a crispy corn starched-covered potato stuffed with a small amount of flavorful ground beef that was amazing in it’s simplicity and fantastic taste.

One of our main courses was the Pernil, chunks of delicately seasoned shredded roast pork with Spanish rice and beans with crispy Plantains. (One side of the rice would have been more than enough for both of us!)

The other entrée was the Pollo Horneado, which was a roasted chicken leg and thigh with Sweet Plantains (Spanish rice) – also very good.

There was enough left over from both of the above for a light lunch the next day.

The bill before tip was around $35. With many more appetizing items on the menu to explore, we will definitely be back for a return visit. (BYO)

The only thing missing were the spirited games of dominoes by men watching baseball. We were referred by some friends who had lived in Puerto Rico. We had visited on a few occasions and were looking for some good mofongo, in addition to some tostones and maduros. We were not disappointed by the cuisine of this nondescript little find.

While the complimentary "cheese" and chips had much to be desired, the maduros were just right - sweet and juicy with a slight crunchy outside. The Pernil (Pork) Mofongo was pure comfort food, along with the pollo guisado. While we fully expected to take some home, we ate the plates clean.

It is BYOB and well worth the time (just don't fill up on the "cheese and chips"). Our next visit we will go for the pinchos.
