“Very convenient for families visiting Dutch Wonderland”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2012

My family visited this past weekend along with two other families at our son's preschool. My family stayed in one of the two bedroom suites. The hotel's website doesn't mention that the sitting area out in front of a two bedroom suite has a pullout bed; it does. This gave 3 sleeping areas with doors between all of them and satellite cable TVs in each area (back bedroom with bathroom, king bed; middle bedroom, two queen beds; front area, pullout bed) that worked very well for us. The front area has easy access to a bathroom, the small refrigerator, and microwave. Dutch Wonderland, the reason for our visit, is across the street, a short walk, very convenient. We came back to our rooms to change clothes when we were ready to visit the water park area of Dutch Wonderland. The breakfast buffet is adequate; there are enough hot and cold food options for everyone to get enough to eat. The buffet area has limited seating, visiting early is a good idea. The staff at the front desk made good suggestions for meal options either within walking distance or a short drive. The indoor pool does not have a deep end. The hot tub is relaxing. 100% nonsmoking rooms. Well-kept property. I heard no complaints from the other two families, who both stayed in one bedroom suites (similar to a two bedroom, but without the back bedroom with second bathroom, king bed).

I just recently stayed here for two nights in a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite. I would highly recommend this property. Great accomodations for a large family. We were traveling with 4 adults and 2 children (4 & 6). One room has a king size bed, desk and chair, flat screen TV, dvd player and an attached bathroom (large shower no bathtub). The second bedroom has two queen size beds, chair, TV. the main area has a pull out sofa big enough to sleep two adults, chair, two person table and a kitchenette (microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker). The second bathroom has a bath/shower combo and a double sink. The set up was a little akward. You had to walk through one bedroom to get to another. Not a huge deal. It was very spacious and clean. we stayed in room 209 which is at the top of the stairs from the lobby. Very convient for a quick run to the lobby for free coffee/tea and cookies. I didn't find noise to be a problem with this location. Free breakfast is offered every morning. Basic offerings but all good and a big savings I think. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. the first 10 minutes in our room the front desk called to see if we had everything that we needed. There is an indoor heated pool. This is a nice feature especially at night and on rainy days. A suggestion for this hotel would be to install a playground outside the pool area. There are so many children that stay here I am sure that would be appreciated. This is a great location if you are going to the local attractions. You can walk across the street to go to Dutch Wonderland. Its about a 25 minute drive to Hershey. This trip we went to Hershey. It was worth the short drive for the price. Any hotel near Hershey for the same size accomodations was almost double the price.

Stayed here for 2 nights over Memorial Day 2012 weekend. Great Property. Room was clean and our suite had 2 queen beds and sleep sofa. The bedroom had door separting it and pull out sofa was big enough for our 2 boys to sleep on (7&4). Room was right off front lobby which had me concerned about noise, but was a non issue. Staff was very helpful when we had questions. Pool was a little cool but refreshing since we were there on 90*+ days, but others found it to be too cold. The hot tub was giant and accomodated 8-10 people.

Proximity to Dutch Wonderland was right across street. An easy walk across very busy road. We chose to drive to DW, just so we had lunch & pool stuff in car. But we could have easily left this stuff at hotel and walked back for lunch & to change for water park.

Lobby had fresh cookies and coffee, a nice touch. Breakfast was meh. Being free helped, as I would have been annoyed if paid for it. Eggs needed help, but the Waffle maker was great and wide variety of cereals, muffins, donuts, fruit (canned). Definitely fill your belly there.

We will definitely stay at this property again on our next trip to Dutch Wonderland/Lancaster County, just might ask for a room on higher floor. Elevators were great, not long of a wait at all.

My husband and I visit lancaster rather frequently for shopping and for shows at the American Music Theater.....We have two favorite hotels but decided to give this one a try and we were very happy that we did.......The two most important things for any stay, any place are cleanliness and friendliness....and this one has both....The staff is both friendly and helpful....right down to providing a map for one of the places we were going.....and every inch that we saw was clean, clean, clean but in all honesty I have found lancaster to be both clean and friendly overall.....We loved our suite.....what makes this one stand out is that there is an actual door separating the spaces.......not just furniture placement.....so, it enables guests to sleep while the other person can snack, watch tv or read.....The lobby is spacious and very homey......the breakfast was good......no bacon, eggs, etc. as some other places have....but the belgian waffle maker is great and takes only a few minutes....there is coffee and cookies in the lobby all day .....we did not use the pool, were not there long enough but a quick peek showed quite a spacious pool and area around it....all in all, we would recommend this and go back, as well.

Room Tip: Our room faces a golf course and we were quite happy with it....

Clean, comfy, quiet, cozy well-lit roomy suites (real Suites - two seperate rooms - not a little half wall partition thing in the middle of a room), centrally located. Having a fridge and microwave in room is very handy. Service 5 star plus - all staff we encountered helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and very patient. Free breakfast one of the best out there, and there are always cookies, tea and coffee in the lobby Forget about the higher ranked/rated places - been there - this place is better.
