Actually I think have been a eating here for about twenty years. Several years ago new owners came in. In my last 12 months I have a noted a new taste. The menu names may be same or a similar but the atmosphere and flavours are fresh. From entree to dessert the food is fresh, and the tastes are tantalizing and the recipes tweaked to optimize a glutinous tastebud. Deep fried chicken ice cream with the generous layer of coconut dough and sauce. Entree mixed cooked to crunch but no oily trace. SnS sauce appears home made, and less a commercial genetic taste. The sang chop bow was fresh, and the light flavours worked well. No oily finger either. Fillet steak, and crisp skin chicken, and five spice chicken, heavenly sauced beef and honey pepper beef were all the well portioned with Fresh carrot, broccoli, cabbage and other vegetables. All portions eaten, and no plate had 1,000 onion slices which is too often seen today. Fried rice was still light in texture and well infused flavours. If you have not been then go, but if you went to and left- give it another way chance. Also friendly staff and great service.

Thank Ray M

We have always found the food at the Nowra Palace to be very good. Tonight's meal of Fillet Steak with Honey Pepper Sauce was truly delicious. The staff were very attentive and helpful in pointing out Gluten-free options for my husband and the meals were delivered quickly.

The staff are brilliant- very friendly, inviting, and helpful with picking out nice dishes.
We ordered one of the dinner packs; $40 for 3 dishes, fried rice, prawn chips and spring rolls. The containers were packed full and there was heaps of veggies, however, the flavour was some what lacking. For the price of the dinner pack, I guess it wasn't too bad, but we have had better Chinese.

There were only few highlights of my dining experience here. The first worth mentioning was the overpriced beer I drank to wash down the taste of what was possibly the most mediocre mash up of 'fusion' asian food I have ever tasted. The second was leaving.
What I find hard to fathom is how six different dishes tasted pretty much the same - like disappointment thrown in a fryer for a couple of minutes. The chopped chills they served were still frozen. Some of the prawns in the various dishes still had shells on them.
I am not questioning whether the various meats they served up were actually beef, chicken etc - but I just don't understand where in the cooking process it transforms in to the texture of rubber.
I had no choice but to save room for dessert, given that the mains were largely uneatable. Fortunately you can't go wrong with a Sara-Lee cheesecake straight out of the freezer with some market value ice-cream to complement the recurring theme of mediocrity.
I'm giving this place a soft 1.
