We visited Kyogle to attend my Uncles Funeral - I traveled with my parents and Uncle - I only booked the day before and talked to the owner- he was so helpful and tried to get both rooms together but that didn't bother us - the guys in one room ( thank goodness because they snore ! ) mum and I in another
We arrived late - the owner said to call around 7 pm just to let him know when our arrival time would be - he ended up waiting for us - we wanted to get something to eat - please keep mind this is a small country town so everything closes early- he pointed us in the direction to the opposite end of town where we found a service station
Everything you need away from home
Could make a cuppa and toast ( we bought our own bread ) in the morning
We stayed 2 nights - very clean
Mobile use was tricky but I found a few spots in the room where it worked !
All in all it was nice - the only reason for 4 stars - we thought it was expensive to other places
Thanks for your kind hospitality

We booked a room two weeks ago having driven through the town and deciding to take a longer look around. The gentleman was rude and unfriendly when we initially rang but we made the booking through a lady who was friendly and helpful. However, on the day of arrival, we rang to confirm only to be rudely and offhandedly told by the gentleman that we had no booking. We have no intention of trying to stay there again.

As usual late and needing accommodation for two, with truck parking, we stopped outside the Country Inn Motel. On coming to the office we were met by a young man who seemed humourless and just barked the price at me, more or less take it or leave it.
Being somewhat weary I accepted what seemed a fairly high tariff for a rural Motel. On arriving at the room it was spotless and seemed well equipped, until we really looked, yes there were two towels - but three beds, there was only one face cloth, the few sugar sticks with the amenities were hard and obviously aged, there was no microwave (usually standard equipment in better motels), particularly as there was crockery and cutlery supplied.
In hindsight, i think we would have been better to drive the short distance to Casino where a number of motels seemed to offer better value.
Note to self - get better organised - note to others, visit if you must, but be wary, or more demanding of civility service to match the price

Generous size, very comgortable beds, warm all night without heating while 8 deg outside. Tiled floors modern bathroom and kitchenette, fantastic water pressure.. showervwith massage. Good wifi, parking outside room, pleasant garden and trees lining property. Slightly out of town but an easy run in. Friendly and informative checkin. Whats not to like?

Room Tip: All similar outlook and ground floor

This small motor inn has a lovely feel. From the friendly welcome to the pleasant decor, everything was done well. The home cooked steak dinner (room service or dine-in) was tasty and the dessert came later so the ice cream didn't melt. Quiet rooms. Good value.
