Our party of five, four adults and one child decided to try out this recently opened Mediterranean-style restaurant. It is in the Salt complex where Bellini was previously.
The welcome was friendly, we were served quickly by the enthusiastic waitress and from the entrees through to dessert, we were very impressed with the attentive service and the delicious, authentic flavours of the dishes we ate.
My wife and I shared the flaming haloumi which was spectacular and tasty. For main course, I had the lasagne which was made with pork and beef and a delicious creamy sauce, very filling, but had to leave room for the pannacotta dessert - worth waiting for - absolutely fantastic finish to a phenomenal meal. My wife Christina had the gnocchi ai funghi - the best gnocchi she has ever had and the pannacotta for dessert also which she loved.
Brother-in-law David who is Italian and used to eating great authentic home made Italian food was extremely impressed by the flavours of the eggplant lasagne and his tiramisu dessert.
His wife Anne tried the zucchini flowers and raved about them, also had gnocchi for main and thought it was delicious.
Our niece Nadia had the kids meal which included pasta and sauce, a drink and a dessert which was consumed with gusto.
All up, at a cost of around $50 per head which included drinks, entrees, mains and dessert, sensational value and terrific service.
We are here for a few more days and will be back to try a few more dishes - keep up the good work guys, you have won us over!
