It’s worth a visit to experience this natural phenomena. The surrounding view is serene and therapeutic.

It's been quite a few years since I last visited and I had forgotten just how magical the blowhole was. It wasn't operating at it's full height but was still quite amazing to watch.

When the swell is in the correct direction or on a large sea the blowhole is and awesome sight ! Sometimes very crowded at weekends but doesn't matter as viewing is 360 degrees and plenty of space to take photos.

Kiama, is famous for its ancient lighthouse and Blowhole. Under certain sea conditions, the blowhole can spray 50 litres of water up to 25 metres (82 ft) in the air, in quantities that thoroughly drench any bystanders. Water shoots out of the blowhole because of pressure that forms in an underground chamber. A very scenic place as well. Lots of gulls around too. Entry and parking are free too.

We visit the Blowhole whenever we're in Kiama and the last visit was one of the best. It was very active, with many people getting wet.
Best to check weather reports, as it can get very blustery.
