I bought the Romance package as a surprise for my fiancées 35th birthday.
First impressions of the staff were great. We thought the room felt a little tired and the decor was a little rough around the edges however the bed was really comfortable and the fire in the room was lovely.

Only downside was that we had 'champagne and strawberries' included in the package and thought it was a bit cheeky when sparkling wine turned up. Also the massage that was included was relaxing but not great, they don't offer different types of massage which surprised me.

The highlight for us was our dinner at Hordern which was amazing and our waitress was fantastic. They were kind enough to make a little Birthday plate of a few chocolates which I mentioned on booking and never had to remind them.

The hotel is only 15 mins away from town centre. On the advise of our great breakfast waiter (Stephen I think?!) we went to the markets at the public school, then to Dirty Janes antique store, then to a really nice winery called Mount Ashby where you can have lunch (it was packed so maybe worth booking!). All of which I would highly recommend.

Also make sure you go to Gumnut Patisserie in Bowral, there is normally a queue it is that good!!

the rooms had little to no light, the only place to do my makeup at night was in the bathroom. the gardens were ok, we walked around in the morning to see the sunken garden and waterfall not much to see, and not very maintained. the hotel is great for a weekend away with your girls or partner. oh and food was not good, and very expensive. Service was great.

My husband and I booked this Resort for 2 nights Midweek getaway .We felt the standard is well below our expectations.

The Hotel charge like any international 5 star resort but it is far below a 5 stars standard.

The room was very basic, lacking certain facilities that you expect in a 5 star resort. The property and rooms felt dated. Even the Bathroom show signs of wear and tear . The bath is chipped. Toilet seat doesn't fit correctly.

The Restaurant menu is very limited and uninspiring and pricey.
Flavour is ordinary and nothing to surprise compare with the price you pay .

We stayed here for 2 nights on Monday and Tuesday and were informed The dinning room was fully booked and we either could order room service or hunt food in local restaurant.!!
However we realised there was only a small group for conference dinner .It shows sign of lacking staff.

Hotel staff very friendly but not enough of staff around at all - inside of Hotel or outside in Garden .

Breakfast was just Ok like Motel standard . Very disappointed with the food . Homemade bake bean is a joke (it mentions is Homemade Bake bean) please try Heinz Bake Bean.

Luxury Indoor swimming pool is no facility at all . Pool looks "Empty" and Cold .
We lost interest and have no confidence to try any of their spa facilities and package at all.

Milton Park Country House seems to have lived better days and is relying on an outdated good reputation to lure clients into an average and overpriced experience.

We really feel a bit ripped off after our stay.

Management should reconsider their pricing policy and has some kind of refurbishment program plan.
Especially they consider themselves a prestige Country Guest House.

Just back from a quick escape to the Southern Highlands to visit Milton Park. Such a beautiful, stately house with grand rooms and sweeping impeccably manicured gardens. The wonderful staff looked after our every need and could not have been more helpful. We began our trip with a session at the Spa which was a great way to ease into the luxury the hotel has to offer. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Room tip: Room 119 was incredible!

Stayed in Carriage House with friends, fabulous property, gardens and food superb.
Bowral is a quaint beautiful Town, lots of Antiques and some nice dress shops for the ladies. Lots of cafes and pubs with great food for lunch whilst shopping.

Room tip: Check out Bowral, really beautiful, quaint Town.
