Fantastic views, clean hotel comfortable bed. Top marks to the barman who was professional and interesting to talk with, very nice. Lighthouse spectacular, foghorn bit annoying at times. Waves crashing onto the rocks below mesmerising.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view if you can.

Stunning walk from Lizard NT Car park to Housel Bay Hotel which is on the coast path, stopped off for pot of tea, freshly baked homemade hot cross buns and a cream tea with homemade scones, service from Tom and Imogen was great, friendly and very helpful, met Kevin the head chef and arranged a special family gathering for June, he could not have been more helpful, suggesting menus, cakes and prices. Loved the interior of the hotel, unique, welcoming and original.
Sat in the sun on the terrace, fantastic views.
Thanks Tom, Kevin and Imogen really looking forward to our family occasion with you all in June.

We stayed for 3 nights and the location was beautiful, lots of walks out the back of the hotel.
Interior was very dated, the room was extremely small and in need of updating. The mattress in the bed was too small and had been made longer by stuffing a rolled up duvet at the head of the bed! (See photos) this is not what I expect for the prices! In general this hotel has an amazing location and I think it trades off this when it really needs to spend some time and money updating the interior of the hotel especially to warrant the prices.

Lovely two night stay at the stunningly located HBH. Brilliant sea views from the rooms on the front of the hotel and the breakfast area. The well known Kevin Viner is now at the restaurant and wow, what fab food. Absolutely brilliant. A great location for walking this beautiful part of the Cornish Coastpath.

My wife wanted to stay in a Hotel on a clifftop in Cornwall in a Storm! Booked 2 months in advance and she had her wish. Arriving the day before The Blizzard on the Lizard our 2 night stayed turned into 5 nights. This Hotel overlooking a small bay and coastal scene towards the Lighthouse provided us with unbelievable changes in scenery from complete white out with Zero visibility, Stormy seas crashing into the rocks, Clfftop gales and windswept headlands ( with and without snow), and even a sunlit clear day with calm seas after the storms subsided. All viewed from a safe and warm hotel dining room or sea view room. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful, the food by the resident chef Kevin was excellent working our way through the menu during the stay. Gardens and general facility were well maintained, the rooms was adequate although I do prefer a walk in shower and not a shower in a bath. Higher quality rooms were available with a Bay Window and seating. Maybe a treat for next time. An added bonus was a "lift" between the 2 stories. An ideal hotel for couples but not really a young family hotel, Bar area with fire very intimate and cosy, a separate lounge area to relax with a view. Decor was very interesting with a wealth of old B&W Pictures.. Thankyou Alfred and Iona, the owners, in making our stay so memorable.
