“Exceptional space and position in Carlyon Bay.”
Reviewed 31 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The family, 5 adults and 3 children (3,8 and 10), all enjoyed the weeks stay. The space and grounds together with the heated pool were of a very good standard. It was a very quiet area but easy to get watering holes. The owner David was very helpful in all ways. Would thoroughly recommend this accommodation, and would like to revisit in the future.

“Amazing, wonderful, inspiring”
Reviewed 31 August 2016 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed here for a week last september and it was the best family holiday we've ever had! We have 6 small children, the youngest was just12 weeks when we went to stay. The house was perfect, the gardens beautiful and the pool fantastic fun. It was the house of dreams, the 'grand designs' house!

We had proper family, quality time there and hope to book again. The area was outstanding, be sure to visit charlestown, we loved the shipwreck museum and some of the wonderful beaches.

Whats more, we made the dreadful mistake of forgetting 'bunny' a well loved cuddly toy that aids sleep. David posted her back to us the very next day much to our relief. He went out of his way to make sure we had a happy holiday and it was nice to meet him towards the end of our break.

“Wonderful views and wonderful stay”
Reviewed 5 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Three of us (and two dogs) stayed in Beam Reach in June this year and had a fabulous time. The house is large enough that we all had room to have our own space, and indeed between the huge house and extensive gardens it was sometimes hard to find each other!

The dogs loved the gardens and spent a huge amount of time chasing each other all around the place (and studiously avoiding coming anywhere near the fenced in area around the pool in case a splash of water came into contact with them - I suspect they thought it was a giant bath of doom.)

The heated and cosy pool was absolutely the human's favourite thing though, and although we didn't get the best weather when we stayed we didn't let it bother us and simply became the crazy Scottish people swimming in the rain. You're wet anyway after all!

The master bedroom was absolutely lush with wardrobes with interior lights, a massive bed, wooden flooring and an ensuite down a very short corridor which boasted underfloor heating, which was lovely after the aforementioned swimming in the rain. The downstairs bedrooms were all lovely as well, and the living room had a comfortable sofa arrangement with an attached room with masses of books, games and DVD's for those rainy days. The kitchen was very well equipped, and has left me with a sad longing for the crushed ice dispenser...

Everything was clean and ready for us on arrival, and the house was lived in enough that we felt comfortable and welcome. David replied to emails promptly when required, and our deposit was returned within a week.

I'm afraid we can't comment too much on the area's attractions having spent far too long in the pool and lounging around the house, but we did venture out to the Eden Project and to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and a few neighbouring villages as well, all of which was most pleasurable. Can confirm that Dominoes delivers, for when you're so busy relaxing you just can't face cooking too!

“perfect place to stay”
Reviewed 31 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

My partner and i recently stayed at Beam Reach with friends and from the moment we arrived it felt like home from home. A short walk from the beach and set in lovely extensive, gardens with a large pool, Beam Reach is a peachful, relaxing holiday home.
The accomodation is clean, comfortable and well appointed with all the utilities, The owner has thought of everything to help make a stay relaxing and pleasant. A fully equiped kitchen, well stocked library of books, dvds and games, they even suppied logs coal and firelightes for the open fire!. Views from every room are gorgeous, looking out over the gardens and surrounding hills and sea.
Local amenities are close at hand with a Tesco a couple of minutes drive and some lovely places to eat nearby.
We loved our stay at Beam reach and would highly recommnend it to any one wanting a relaxing, comfortable place to stay that feels like home.
