The flat was perfect for our family - right in the centre of the village. Our 3 kids enjoyed the selection of dvd's and of course the PS3. Flat was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. Although we did not meet Liz the welcome of wine and scones with cream and jam was just what we needed after a long journey. Mevagissey was the perfect base for exploring Cornwall and even if you wanted to spend the day around the village there was still lots to do and all the locals were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent property, as described. Clean and tidy, even though it is next to a pub/restaurant it was a very quiet place to be in the heart of Mevagissey. If I had one complaint it would be that on Trip Advisor it was not made clear that parking was included so we ended up paying as well.
Perfectly functional and comfortable. Plenty of sociable space, with enough nighttime privacy to go with it. Despite being above the owners bookshop there was no intrusion and we were left completely to our own devices.
To be honest there is no Wow factor to the flat except it's position which is as close to the harbour and all of the restaurants/pubs etc then you could ever expect. When inside the flat and you look on Trip Adviser, everything is within 50 metres.
This place is the perfect base for Mevagissey, and Mevagissey is the perfect base for Cornwall.
Fantastic place to spend a couple days in the heart of the scenic little village of Mevagissy. Plenty of space for a large group with nice beds and comfortable furniture. Location is great and it's an easy walk to the harbor, several nice pubs, restaurants, bakeries, and shops. Liz sweetened the deal by leaving us wine and scones as a welcoming gift. Thanks Liz!
Lovely flat situated above a fantastic bookshop, in a small lane just off the harbour in the centre of Mevagissy.
Stayed here with four other family members crossing three generations. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and we didn't feel on top of each other at all. The flat is well catered with beautifully comfortable beds and a kitchen with pretty much all you need for a week away.
Liz had provided the makings of a cream tea and a bottle of wine when we arrived which was a lovely and very welcome touch. Her and Steve are on-hand (usually in the bookshop downstairs) if you need them for any advise or holiday suggestions. Liz's suggestion for a last night pub supper treat was spot on.
Mevagissy itself is a beautiful fishing village with lots of independent shops and the most charming little homegrown aquarium.
Lovely holiday on all fronts, will definitely be back.
