Stopped here after being recommended by someone who works at Scott & Babs. Arrived at 2.15 and they accommodated us last minute. Meals ordered 2 x kids chicken and chips - kids enjoyed, chicken maybe a little small, 1 x kids scampi and chips - devoured in minutes and 2 x fishfinger sandwiches - absolutely stunning, filling, fresh and yummy. A lovely combination of freshly cut bread, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and three or four fat juice fillets of fish, highly recommend. Would definitely return, knocked the review down as the man serving behind the bar was slightly standoffish.

Good visit for lunch with 2 families. Great location, excellent beer garden with sandpit and play things for kids. Burgers were good as was a pint of the local ale. Also, if you pay for parking at the nearby car park you get it refunded off your bill so a great bonus!

A wet and miserable day didn't deter us from our plan to have a family meal at the Merrymoor to celebrate my twin grandkids 15th birthday. Luckily the skies cleared as we drove towards Mawgan Porth but alas no room in the inn and all the outside seating was very wet. We asked if we wiped the seats off could we eat outside and the staff kindly came out put two tables together dried off the seats and tables for us and covered the seats with long beer mats to keep our bottoms dry. 7 of us then had a fantastic dinner and pudding and a lot of fun. A walk after on the beach in the twilight ended our evening beautifully. Thank you to the helpful and friendly staff. We love the Merrymoor. Good food. Good atmosphere. Great location

we booked a table at the merrymoor inn for the 5 of us
the service was ok although a little slow but the pub was busy
the food was good and I would recommend the merrymoor chicken as well as the fish and chips
the drinks were a little expensive but I suppose they have a season to cope with
