Thank you for taking the time to post this review.
We hope to see you again soon
So relaxed and welcoming. Rooms clean and comfortable. The views are amazing Staff welcoming and pleasant. Most quite chatty amd happy to engage in conversation which is nice. Food....just amazing! (although some of the portions were a little on the small side) Spent a very lazy weekend just doing not a lot and enjoing the ambience.Take note of the bar prices!
Thank you for taking the time to review us again. I do hope you will visit a 4th, 5th and 6th time etc and continue to enjoy the time you spend here.
One of the best all-round hotels we have stayed in for a long time and we have stayed in some good ones.
Stayed in an indulgent for 3 nights , room 6, fantastic views ( impossible to read your book because you keep looking out over the balcony from your bed towards the cliffs and sea )
As we were leaving we asked to see a couple of other rooms to see how they compared, they are all fantastic.
The food . Breakfast is a three course delight, toast and fresh jams to start with fresh Cornish apple juice, followed by fresh fruit , poached pears etc etc and then a full English with some of the best sausages and bacon I have tasted. ( this was my preferred route , there are other options of course )
Dinner was fantastic , spot on portions and a super wine list. The big boys could learn a trick or two here, seriously.
What else, oh yes the Spa , we both loved it, very relaxed and professional .
Now the best bit , the STAFF, they are G R E A T, nothing is too much trouble. We really liked talking to them over dinner and at the bar. You have picked and trained well.
The reason for the title review is simple, we must all be mad reviewing this establishment, we'll never get in again.
This was our first visit and have decided to make this our twice a year long weekend retreat.
Thank you so much, kind regards Robert and Cindy.
Thank you for taking the time to post this really wonderful review, you may think you are mad, but I am really greatful. Whilst we do get really busy I can assure you we still have space. You do need to plan at bit further ahead though if you want to bag room 6 (one of the best!).
We look forward to seeing you both again soon and really hope you do make it a regular thing, we have a few guests that do and it only takes a couple of stay before they start to feel like part of the family.
With my best wishes
Stayed for 5 nights October 2011.Beautiful setting - stunning sunsets and views.Nothing to fault with the food or service. Occupied Room 1 - large room with balconies back and front, more than enough storage space, desk etc.Bathroom open plan with separate shower.Everything about the hotel is well thought out and executed. No tea/coffee facilities in room - why bother when room service is minutes away from bringing the best coffee we have tasted anywhere.
Spa treatments are a must-do.Sitting in the hot tub in the garden overlooking the bay is an incredible experience and the relaxation rooms are superb.
Have spent the last 20 years visiting Cornwall and we intend to stay no-where else as long as it remains this good. Not cheap but very good value for money.
I am so glad t hear you enjoyed your stay and thank you for chosing to share your experience here on tripadvisor.
We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
My partner and I enjoyed 5 days of absolute luxury in every aspect of our stay. Not over-done, perfect ambience nothing pushy no pressure. The staff were ever attentive but unseen, the food was excellent.
The additional activities were at the right level and all-in-all the perfect Christmas break, great location and even the dip in the sea was bearable but not compulsory and great fun.
We have booked for Christmas 2012.
Thank you for taking the time to review your Christmas break here at the Scarlet. Well done for taking the plunge into the Ocean. I do hope we will see you again soon, perhaps next Christmas when we are planning a similar break.
lovely place to stay where the service and food compliments the fantastic position overlooking the sea. Room costs are at the top end of what we believe the hotel can reasonably expect to achieve...
The Spa is good if a little expensive...laid back Cornish living, worth a visit any time of the year, we've been several times and as long as prices don't rise, well go back.
Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel here. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your return stay.
I hope we will see you again soon.
