First visit here today with our dogs. This place has a bit of everything - fields, countryside, water and woodland. The moss and twisting trees over the streams makes for stunning photos and the setting is wonderfully quiet. Well maintained and an easy level walk round the reservoir. We shall definitely be returning, perhaps to camp too!
Hi Sophie. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We look forward to seeing you at the lake soon
You can have a nice walk or run around here, and now segways and more adrenaline based water sports too! Came here sailing a lot as a youngster - would recommend that!
Hi Tom. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The Segways no longer operate at Siblyback but, as mentioned in you review, we offer a wide variety of other activities, both on and off the water. We look forward to seeing you at the lake soon
This was the one and only circular wakepark in the south west of the UK.
Sadly it is no more.
Despite being in the heart of the most visited part of the country for water sports, the powers that be have never been able to work out how to run the facility.
Expecting it to maintain itself during the winter months without care and start up first time in the spring has caused the demise of a fantastic and unique facility.
Hi David. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review
It is with regret that we had to make the difficult decision to cease the operation of SW Wakeboarding at Siblyback Lake.
As a charity South West Lakes Trust continually review all their operations and after six years of challenging conditions it was no longer sustainable to continue running the wakepark.
We are pleased that we were able to introduce the first cable wakepark to the South West and that since then a number of system 2.0 parks have opened that will continue to provide an offer to riders in the area.
Great place to have a picnic during heavy rain sat in the car as long as the car park is quiet with a view of the lake from the windscreen.
Lovely walk round the lake, lots to see and the Dam is quite spectacular. Plenty of picnic spots, can also cyle round or run and hire a disabled scooter - need to book.
Hi Julian, thank you for a lovely review - was the dam letting out when you viewed it? If not, be sure to come back again as it really is a sight to see! Sarah
After a bracing two mile walk we had a lovely piece of cake and a latte in the cafe. I think it has been refurbished as it looks better than last time we were there. The lady who served us was very nice and friendly and gave quick service.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback. We always welcome feedback from our customers and it's great to hear that you think the refurbishment has made a difference! We are really pleased with it.
I will pass your comments along to Wendy, the café owner - and have a piece of cake whilst I am there! We look forward to seeing you at Siblyback again soon! Thanks again, Sarah - Customer Experience Coordinator.
