Outstanding in every way. Single room was perfectly adequate for a walker. Food (and beer) was outstanding. Staff were friendly and just attentive enough without being intrusive. Absolutely will return and will also be sure to use the hotel’s taxi recommendation (Tony!) when I do. Well done Wellington Hotel.

The walk into Boscastle is a really tough day and my stay of one night was just what was needed. A decent though not massive room was fine but the meal in the evening the breakfast and the willingness of all there to help made it a good stay

We had dinner at The Wellington. A Monday night, seemed quiet in the hotel. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had a delicious meal- recommend the mussels and the hake followed by a wonderful sharing platter of desserts. Everything was good and the staff exemplary from start to finish. Highly recommended

Dined here with friends and we were all delighted with the quality. We then decided to book accommodation. The rooms were great - spotlessly lean and very comfortable. The breakfasts were outstandingly good.
The staff team are friendly and very helpful and overall we thought this a really charming place in an idyllic location. Full marks on all aspects!

The hotel is in a great location in the old part of the town close to the harbour. The hotel is quite old and is showing its age a little in a few places but it is spacious and well maintained. The hotel has a lot of history and associations with famous people including Thomas Hardy and Guy Gibson. It is a big hotel with lots of bedrooms, a bar, a lounge, a restaurant, and a breakfast room split across several floors, The layout takes a bit of getting used to and is probably not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues as most of the bedrooms are up a couple of flights of stairs.

The restaurant has a good chef and you can also choose from the bar menu which features a wide range of dishes if you want to mix and match restaurant-style dishes with pub-grub. The restaurant has a slightly unusual layout with the tables arranged around a circular balcony looking down on the ground floor.

The bar is big and serves a good range of beers and wines by the glass. The garden area is quite big with quite a few tables but it is up some steps so once again not the best place for anyone with mobility issues.

The hotel is down by the old harbour and in a great location.

All the staff were very friendly and efficient.
