“Dog walk ”

Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve
Reviewed 6 April 2018 via mobile

Hadn’t heard of this before and was pleasantly surprised. Very tranquil and a nice interesting walk for the dog. I would imagine this will be better in the summer when everything has had chance to grow some more.

Visited yesterday, we were pleased to find a little tea room selling hot drinks and soup (this is only open on Sundays I think) We walked along the canal first then back through the nature reserve. The paths are good and well signposted. We saw lots of birds and liked the bird feeding and viewing place. We did a 2 mike walk which was perfect for us, but there looks to be lots more paths to follow If you want a longer walk. The only down side was there was a lot of litter which spoils it a bit. We will definitely go back and try a different route.

A fab and mostly wheelchair accessible site.
Access via radar key locks , reasonable paths and easy to get around.

Cafe open on Sundays , has toilets but not as yet a disabled accessible loo.

Cafe is donations only.

The bite hide has an area for wheelchair users to view

Well done all involved.

Thank Peter L

The different walks lead in all directions and cross the river in several places, go alongside the canal, past a bird watching area, ponds and meadows. Its a brilliant walk at any time of the year and especially good for dogs. My dog loves to sniff and gamble his way round, meeting new and old friends along the way

A pleasant unspoilt area walking along the canalside. Cutting through the countryside down to the nature reserve watching the wildlife particularly the birds. Fairly level access easy paths. Hope it stays just as it is.
