Take in the sea breeze 24/7 in your own private, screened in cabin, equipped with several ceiling fans for added circulation. Get one with a nice sized deck outfitted with a hammock and outdoor seating to take in the sunrise. Or take your coffee down to the outdoor lounge Casa Ola for stunning ocean views or to indulge in a good read.

Then wake up your mind, body and soul with twice daily yoga classes in one of the two beautiful outdoor shalas. Beautifully paced classes for all levels by incredibly knowledgeable teachers Katja and Paul, with a variety of styles to keep it flowing.

Later enjoy outdoor dining with an international array of farm to table dishes, lovingly prepared by the talented kitchen staff to suit your dietary preferences. There are options for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike.

Then head down to the newly restored pool and deck area or the beautiful secluded beach. Enjoy lounge chairs in the sun or the shade and stop at the little beach bar for a beverage or a homemade snack.

Alternately take a hike on the grounds or have Juner take you on an expertly guided and fun tour.

Afterwards be sure to schedule in some soothing spa treatments on site. You will not be disappointed.

Everyone will treat you like part of the big happy family that makes Costa Dulce such a very special place! A perfect secluded getaway to accommodate anyone looking to get away from it all.

Costa Dulce has it all. This little piece of paradise is set on a lush hill overlooking the pristine waters of the pacific. It is the perfect place to reconnect with yourself and with nature. The resort offers the perfect balance of comfort, nourishment, and tranquility. This is by far one of the best places I have stayed in my 8 years of traveling abroad and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beach/jungle getaway.

The cabins are all built using as many natural materials as possible and in an eco friendly way. The layout of the resort is set on a cliff and the cabins are properly spaced for privacy, making you feel as if you are in your own private resort.

The cabin we stayed in had a stunning view of the ocean and surrounding jungle with a lovely outside seating area including a hammock and even ocean views from bed. There is hot water in the shower and the rooms are very clean. I felt at home in our little cabin overlooking the sea.

The food is made with love and fresh and natural ingredients. There is such a wide variety to chose from that we seldom had the same thing twice during our 2 month stay. Fresh fruit and smoothies are served daily, along with 3 delicious meals ranging from typical Nica cuisine, hummus and falafel, to pizza.

The yoga instructors on site were absolutely fantastic. Their practices with thorough and stimulating both mentally and physically and the teachers were happy to adjust to my specific needs. Not to mention the two yoga shalas have stunning sea views and one is set on the cliff side right over the ocean. It is definitely the best place I have ever practiced yoga.

Surf and beach.

The beach of playa Escameca was a stones throw away from our cabin. It is a quiet beach and the perfect place to learn how to surf. The surf instructors were great and extremely patient with me. The area is quiet and it feels like you have your own private beach. Which is perfect for lounging but also nice learning to surf without the crowds.

There is also a turtle nursery right in front of the resort with turtles hatching all the time. Watching the little guys rush to the ocean to begin their new life was a highlight of the trip for me.

Staff and community.

The staff at the resort are extremely friendly and helpful and made me feel like part of the family. The team really works hard to create a solid community and make you feel like a part of it.

Overall I had a fantastic 2 months at Costa Dulce and I would highly recommend the place to anyone. 10/10

Costa Dulce is more than a yoga and surf retreat. It is a place that heals the body and soul and allows you to work on yourself and connect with nature. I will be back to this slice of paradise.

The Room

We had a room that was an open-air concept overlooking the ocean with a king (or queen?) bed and a private bathroom and porch with a hammock. This had to be one of the best places I have stayed in the tropics. The design is stunning since it incorporates an open-air design without the need for AC. The room was in fact extremely comfortable and the views were unbeatable. Imagine laying back in your room- relaxing after a long day of surfing and yoga and watching a storm roll in right from the comfort of your own bed. Truly surreal.
The Surfing

The beach is secluded and the waves are great for both experienced surfers and beginners. It was the perfect place to work on my skills and the teachers at Costa Dulce (Freddy & Willy) were incredibly helpful and friendly. This was the perfect place to learn.

The Yoga

The yoga shalas at Costa Dulce are set up perfectly and is a very comfortable and beautiful setting for Yoga. The yoga teacher Ann was such an open and welcoming person and we were blown away by her hospitality and classes. This was some of the best yoga classes I have ever attended. Both yoga spaces overlook the ocean and have some of the best views of the Pacific.

The Food

The local chefs were incredible with the meals and were always mixing it up with amazing combinations of both local and cultural cuisine. Tons of smiles and great meals were what you would experience in the kitchen at Costa Dulce. All the meals are super healthy and made my body feel energized and well-nourished.

The People

Tyson, the current owner, runs a fantastic operation and has an incredible team that supports this amazing space. The staff members are extremely helpful and accommodating and it was great spending time with every single one of them.

I will come back to this slice of paradise and I recommend you do the same.

I had a tranquil and mind opening experience at Costa Dulce. It is a great place to stay to enjoy time away from the world and connect with your inner consciousness. The food they make for you each day is super healthy and delicious. The yoga instructors are very friendly and experienced. They also have a great sense of community among their workers and really make you feel apart of the yoga/surf/wellness community. They also offer surf lessons with amazing surf instructors that have grown up surfing the waves here at the beach so they are well experienced, knowledgeable, and super helpful. They also offer many other activities so there is always something for anyone. One of the best parts is waking up to the view and sound of the ocean. The yoga studio also has an amazing view of the water and is my favorite place I have ever done yoga. I highly recommend Costa Dulce.

I spent 8 delightful days at Costa Dulce on Surf and Yoga Retreat. Not sure I can write a review to give it the praise it deserves but let me try.

Everything about Costa Dulce has been thought through for best community and environmental outcomes. Starting with minimal impact layout of cosy huts. Then the partnerships with local wildlife group. They operate a turtle hatchery and animal rescue centre on the property (I got lucky enough to see an injured sloth being handfed and baby turtles being released into the ocean at sunset). The food is incredible; healthy, delicious seasonal produce sourced locally, served in a communal setting.

The daily surf lessons in my package were a blast! One-on-one instruction is given by young local guys with knowledge of local surf conditions. They were thoughtful and patient. They worked hard to make sure we stayed safe and had a great time.

On the yoga, the teacher, Ann, runs a practice that is both physically and mentally strengthening. Her overall philosophy mirrors the good vibes of Costa Dulce itself.
