My wife and I stayed at this property a few days in late July. As others have discussed, this is designed as a long term business oriented clientele hotel. Therefore there are limited services: cleaning once a week, no included breakfast, etc. We knew all that. We were unimpressed by the following during our stay: the patio area was dirty and littered with cigarette butts, plastic cups, beer bottles and cans. Our room was clean but the shower floor was in serious need of scrubbing. The coffee maker in the "shared area" was inoperative throughout our stay. The staff made coffee elsewhere and transported it to the area. As a result, the quality of the coffee varied greatly from day to day. The staff, while friendly, seemed detached and apathetic. This is just not a property you want to return to and that's too bad.

The hotel it's self is clean enough (shower floor was a little dirty should be scrubbed so lack of effort to keep clean -1/2 star) nicely decorated and laid out. The location is great for close to resturants shopping, its not super close to the downtown area, and a little limited to get in and out of (but this may be corrected after road construction) There is a plus and minus to house keeping 1 x a week if you need dry towels you need to take your wet used towels down to the front desk to exchange (for me that is another -1/2 star), we dont mind the non house keeping in the room but the towels would not dry in a days time, so that was diapointing. This hotel is also pet friendly, we have pets so this would be a bonus if we ever traveled with our dog/cat, however we had a yappy dog in the room beside us, that proceeded to yap away at 6 am on a Saturday morning, this also got the other dogs in the hotel to start barking, 2 hours later this dog was still yapping away until I called the front desk they ran up to the room and the yapping stopped. We left as we were now fully awake, with no hope of sleeping further. We arrived back into our room late afternoon, only to still have a yapping dog greet us after entering our room, this time I went to the front desk in hopes to get this rectified, only to find out that there is nothing they can do or will do, they called the occupant but unfortunately they were not in the room. We were told basically we have to put up with it as they are a pet friendly hotel. At $160.00 a night we are less than impressed that we being subjected to this type of disruption with no resolve, less than if your neighbour with a dog outside barking all hours of the day. Thus the 2 star for this hotel, otherwise it had great potential to be a 4 - 4 1/2. We are a points collector, but in the future will choose not to stay at this hotel and we have told our friends staying at this hotel currently our experience will also choose not to stay here next time either. Its not the hotel, its the lack of respect for other guests over one guest with a yappy dog

Great hotel ! Clean rooms and very friendly staff . The kitchen in the room is awesome ! Spacious and kid friendly . Thanks for a great stay. The food area was nice . We were able to grab cereal and they have a few other food items .

Room Tip: Bring extra utensils and plates only enough for 2 people per room

Very, very, very, nice & helpful front desk staff.
It’s a kid-friendly place due to the pool, location to mall & restaurants, and the kitchen in the rooms. I was surprised the kitchen had a microwave, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, plates, silverware etc. (see photo).
Bed was comfortable. Pillows sheets etc were good. WiFi & internet were good. Shower and bathroom were nice. The closet not only had an iron but also a laundry basket.

As another reviewer wrote - it’s somewhat tricky to get here. Due to construction & a jersey wall, you can’t make a left into the property. You have to pass the hotel, drive to the light at 99 and 19 (at Barnes & Noble) and do a severe U Turn. Then it’s somewhat hard to find the driveway. The entrance into the hotel isn’t marked, it’s sort of in the back. If you’re going to get there at night make sure you have a good map or GPS. Hopefully when the construction is over, it will be easier to enter.

Weird room quirk - we thought we blew a fuse because we couldn’t turn on the bathroom light or fan. It turns out there was a switch outside the bathroom that turns off power to the bathroom and one wall. I can’t understand why it would be wired like that, I’ve never seen that in a hotel.

Other than some minor housekeeping issues (hair in a few places) the place was great. Just needed a few more minutes with a vacuum and a quick wipe down in the shower and it would be A+++

While you’re there, stop by Ollie’s ... it’s an adventure in “fell off a truck” discount shopping. It’s in the next parking lot.

This hotel is really designed for business oriented employees due to lack of breakfast buffet. We thought candlewood suites offered breakfast buffet. the hotel is only 19 minutes away to Downtown Erie and Erie Zoo, beaches etc
