The first word that comes to mind when describing the Black Forest Brewery is Cozy. The rough wood walls, small size and friendly staff make it feel like the quintessential neighborhod pub... which is exactly what it is! They have great homemade soup, panninis and snacks on the menu which changes almost daily (aka - always FRESH). The owners are always there, mingling with guests who quickly become friends. And of course, their beers are terrific, my favorite is the Pale Ale.

This brewery is part of the B&B we stayed at for a couple of days. It is only open a few days a week. They have outside seating and even though it is on main street, it feels relaxing. My husband had one of their beers and enjoyed it. The food choice is limited but very tasty. It looks like it has become a local hangout and we felt like we were visiting friends for a drink.

The Black Forest Brewery is conveniently located behind the 1777 Americana Inn on Oak St. BFB has 6 great brews on tap, local wines and great food. Bob Harter is a master brewer. The staff is fun and very friendly. We enjoyed the clientele of locals and inn guests. The interior decor of the Brewery is very attractive rough sawn pine planking. Ample seating at the bar and tables accommodates at reasonable group of patrons.

Came out for a birthday gathering for a very good friend. I was first surprised at how small the place was. Really only room for 15 - 20 people. Thing is... thats fine. Great decor, even better beer. Overall the menu is small but the flavor is big. Pub fare and some things a little more refined, such as the mediterranean platter (maybe limited time?) round out the small menu. Which I'm told rotates every two weeks. Wifey had the chicken alfredo flatbread but ate it before photos. Said it was slammin good!! There is a selection of local wines, as well as vodka from Faber distillery in Pottstown, PA make this a really nice little pub. Try the sangria. Trust me. Also one of the "Backpackers". I recommend the chocolate. Get out here!! Also, apparently the owners stop in randomly. Theyre awesome to meet!!! What a night!
