We stayed there last night and got the family reunion rate, which was $130. I'll start from the beginning. The guy who checked us in had a realigned attitude, and was incapable of multitasking. While he was helping us, the phone rung and he was visibly irritated and frustrated. Anyway, the room was DISGUSTING! The bathroom was filthy. I could not even take a shower in it. The walls were painted one color and had streak marks of a different color throughout. The floor of the tub was black with dirt rings and footprints. The room was smoked out, even though we requested a non smoking. This was anything but quality and if were not there with my boyfriend's family, I would have requested a refund and slept in the car. I did not get one minute of sleep in there and I feel RIPPED OFF! They also advertise a cocktail bar. The bar tender was older and could not keep track of tabs. She kept hinting that it was time for her to go home and at the end of our time in the bar she got three of the tabs mixed koans charged them all to one guy. She admitted that the mistake was hers, but charged him anyway. All and all this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had and every time think about the cost, it makes me angry all over again! Save yourself... Do not stay here!!

We go to celebrate a belated family holiday each year in this town off I-80. This is the first hotel as you leave 80 at the Danville exit. Clean, neat, and always open had nothing to do with our choice the first year a decade ago, and gettng the free breakfast, being close to family, and having this nice updated place to ourselves beats any reason to try someplace else, although I have and you can see those reviews shortly.

This is a clean hotel, two stories. If you are afraid of window access, ask for the secnd floor rooms. And they do have parking spaces ousid most of the rooms, so have someone check in and then do the lugging from the entry closest to your room.

There is a small workout room with enough to keep the travelling exercise junky fixed, but its not the ritz. And there is a pool outside which haven't used, but always looks clean.

The free breakfast is a buffet in the adjoining restaurant in the lobby. They also have a bar for the evening, again, we have never utilized. But the pool table has come in handy when the adults want to relax over a second cup of coffee.

Very clean and always amenable front desk can help with the forgotten toothbrush, etc. We have always done several rooms where 2 adjoined. This gave the kids access to multiple rooms for fun/tv/comfort. But the if you stay on the second floor, the fire exit can be unheated/uncooled. Otherwise, this is a great place at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: If there is a prom going in town, you may want to ask ahead to be in a quiet section.

I travel ALL the time for business, so I know what to expect for various price ranges.... this place was horrible. It began with my room number not being on the door, the only sign near the door was a no smoking sign; once I got into the room there was an ashtray and the smell of an ashtray. The internet didn't work -- when I tried to explain, the staff just argued with me. Out of 4 nights staying there, housekeeping only came to my room once. The common areas all smelled like smoke, except for the stairwell, which smelled like puke. There are no elevators. The back doors did not work (electronic keys didn't work). The bed was like a hammock. The AC unit was so loud that it woke me up every time that it kicked on.

The worse part is that when I brought these issues up, not one person apologized or even said sorry... they just sighed.

The room was great and we were there to visit Knoebels Amusement Park. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. Would highly recommend this hotel if staying in the area.

Not my first visit to this hotel (see previous reviews) and pretty much what I always expect. Unlike other hotels in Danville that are on the south side of Route 80 (the side closer to Danville), this one is on the north side of the interchange down a dark, lonely road away from stores and restaurants, unless you count the hotel's own Country Kitchen. That means the site is relatively quiet although depending on your room, the rumble of trucks on the interstate might reach you as a dull hum.

The rooms are basic- relatively clean, but also showing their age. The bathroom walls were covered with wallpaper patches- nice that care was put into the repair work to make it look good, but also a sign that a complete remodel would be most welcome. The hotel is pet-friendly, although noise from pets has never been an issue. The free breakfast is probably best avoided.

Five years ago, this hotel was a good option while staying in the area and it still is, but it's time the rooms were given some attention as far as aesthetics are concerned, and the free breakfast should do more than just advertise the fact that it's free.
