The food was great and the prices for kids is excellent. They have a section set up on certain nights just for the kids.

Pleasently surprised by the down home goodness of all the food. Fresh, homemade, moist, etc.. Says it all about this smaller sized Buffet style restaurants. Hands down this is one of my favorites.

We visited Bird in Hand family restaurant on July 17 Sunday. The food is good and lots to choose from. We paid with drinks for the buffet under 40 for 2 adults.A lot of older people eat there I notice but the food overall isn't bad.

I was looking so forward to some good simple Amish cooking at this restaurant - what we got was a poorly cooked mediocre buffet. The food was all put out in steam tables, many of the meats were cut and chopped up and soaking in water - oh yum. Most of the food was tasteless and poorly prepared - TV dinner style cooking. The so called traditional cooking recipes were really just greasy spoon prepared foods. Stick to Millers buffet when in town - it is much better quality and bang for the buck. Almost all of the patrons here were seniors - so boiled, simple tasteless food is what you will find most.
