We were attending a Bruce Springsteen concert in State College PA in April and lucked out when we found this gem of a place. Beautifully renovated rooms and great hospitality really contributed to our enjoyable stay. This historical home is surrounded by beautiful grounds and you are guaranteed genuine hospitality
Breakfast is also excellent. We highly recommend that you check in and just relax.

This wedding venue was a beautiful old barn, built in approx. 1880. After we put up some twinkle lights etc. it was a quaint comfortable place for a wedding reception. Even though we had a rainy weekend, we were blessed with very pleasant environment indoors. We used Hogs Galore as the caterer and the food was excellent. The restrooms are outside on a trailer, placed conveniently at the bottom of the newly constructed handicap ramp access. Maybe a bit primitive for some tastes, but for us it was very adequate with the back of the trailer providing a handicapped accessible restroom. It was an absolutely beautiful place to have our wedding reception

The owners of the Inn made you feel like you were staying with family. The rooms were beautiful. The grounds of the Inn were wonderful to walk around. Breakfast was served every morning. They were very accommodating to special dietary restrictions with the meals. We had dinner our first night which was fantastic! The Inn was very relaxing. We loved the screened porch.

Stayed here with family members so we could attend graduation at Penn State. This property is located a short drive away (about 15 min) from the Penn State campus. The area is lovely and scenic. The inn is located at the end of a long private driveway, and the main house was built in 1795 out of local limestone. It is obvious the owners have a lot of pride in the property- it is beautifully decorated and maintained. There are four bedrooms on the second floor, and each one is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable. Breakfast was great, featuring homemade items such as strawberry jam and sausage patties (made from scratch). There is a wonderful screened-in porch perfect for sitting and relaxing. The grounds are lovely, and plenty of room to stroll and enjoy the natural surrounding beauty. Along the back of the property, there is a canal (used historically for the old iron works) that looks great for kayaking, fly fishing, or tubing. They have converted a barn into an event center, and it looks like the perfect setting for a wedding or any festive celebration. This is an excellent location to get away from the hubbub of State College, yet still be close enough to the campus if you want shopping or restaurants. I would highly recommend this inn.
