Devils Churn is a place to see the intense power of the ocean as it crashes against the rocks of the Oregon coastline and sprays up into the air. I saw this at a lower tide with moderate surf and it was pretty cool, but at a higher tide or at least an incoming tide, it would be spectacular. Wear sturdy hiking shoes for better footing on the stairs and rocks - they are slippery.
Although I saw this in July, I plan on going back to see the winter storms hit the rocky coast line. It is worth seeing in the Summer; but during a high tide and a winter storm, it should be really spectacular.
