The Longbranch Cafe and Salloon is nestled in the small town of Weston Oregon. It sits at the base of Tolgate Pass. A place to stop, rest and enjoy home served food and then perhaps a trip over the pass for a family outing. This restaurant has the most ecclectic display of collectables that I have ever seen. Waitresses are really down-home friendly and many have been there for years. Homemade buiscuts and luscious gravies, a ham, egg, hashbrown combo that boasts a full circle cut of ham on a separate plate, and really fantastic burgers. I have to devote the remainder of discussion to these gourmet burgers. Large patties that are flavorful and ABSOLUTELY not dripping with you know what. A full complement of fixings: onion slice, cheese, lettuce, thick juicy tomato, and for one of the burgers, a sauteed mushroom swiss. The Marshall Dillon boasts ALL of this plus two meats, slice of ham, and a slice of roast beef. Others include a ham/cheese/bacon combo. You will not believe the unbelievablely reasonable prices, too. And not to mention that all the locals are very friendly with newcomers (I go at least once a year, and I always strike up a conversation with one of the family guests. And get the handles on the restrooms- Festus and Kitty. Wow. It really doesn't get much better tnan this!! I recommend googling this restaurant to delve into its history (I am running out of space for additional discussion, so I'll leave it to you to explore). I guarantee that kids, young adults, or seniors will enjoy the setting, the variety, the quality, and the prices!! ENJOY.
