“Wonderful Getaway”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 May 2011

Wonderful location on the McKenzie River. The gardens on the grounds are wonderful to explore. The owners offer glasses of wine in the evening which is nice to take outside and sit by the river. Breakfast was outstanding and was so filling that lunch was not even needed! There are plenty of sightseeing options in the area if you want to wander away from this haven. The lodge and common area were cozy and inviting and a nice place to view the river if the weather isn't cooperating. We stayed in the Honeymooner Suite which was very cozy with an electric fireplace and jetted tub. Nice extras in the room like flowers, homemade cookies, mini fridge, robes, fuzzy socks, toiletries, chocolates and thick towels. The owners are wonderful and make you feel very welcome like old friends you haven't seen in awhile. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We went for a weekend get away to the McKenzie River area and found this wonderful B & B online. Their rooms were even more attractive and meticulous than what you see on the website and the B & B offered many amenities in addition to the delicious breakfast. The view of their garden and the McKenzie River were fabulous from the rooms as well as the cozy sitting area they offer. When we arrived we were able to see an osprey feeding young in it's nest just accross the river from the lodge. We hope to return again.

The highlight of our trip, this Bed and Breakfast was exceptional in every way. We slept so well in the Fireplace Room with a fire going the whole night, woke up to the beautiful river and landscaping and ate the most delicious breakfast I can remember. The location is gorgeous, the room and breakfast area were just beautiful and had sensational style. Thank you so much for the experience. I would happily recommend a stay here to anyone.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Fireplace Room, magnificent.

I escorted my wife and 2 other women on a short excursion to Oregon to see the coast, visit wineries, and for me to fly fish. We spent 3 nights at the Eagle Rock Lodge, and it was the highlight of our trip. Sometimes the website photos of a location can be deceptive, but this wasn't the case with Eagle Rock. In fact, just the opposite, as being there was even more beautiful than I could imagine. The lodge, the landscaping, and the McKenzie River in the background were unbelievable.

Debbie, her husband, and the staff were just refreshing people to be around. Your comfort and your needs were their primary concern, and I could not ask for better service. Debbie's "breakfast" and "mocha coffee" are a local legend and not to be missed.

The McKenzie River is well known for fly fishing, so the lodge has several fishing guide links on their website. Debbie vouched for a local guide, George Decker, and I booked him for two days. Very, very pleased. Just another service provided by Eagle Rock that made our stay very enjoyable and seamless.

Wish that I was already going back!

We booked the Fireplace Suite and the Damsel Fly for the four of us interested in winery tours, fly fishing, and relaxation adventures we set out to accomplish on our five day stay in Oregon. Three of those nights were spent at Eagle Rock Lodge and those were the most memorable days of our trip.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with wine and enjoyed the evening with a wonderful fire pit by the river visiting with the new friends we met staying at the lodge. Three of the most incredible breakfasts too. Words can not express how much I looked forward to the breakfasts served and Debbie's special coffee/mocha recipe mix.

Debbie was such a pleasure to work with prior to and during our visit as she provided recommendations on our routes to travel upon arrival in Portland to visit wineries and the Oregon Coast before our arrival at Eagle Rock Lodge. We are so grateful for the recommendations Eagle Rock provided for Fly Fishing guides. We booked two boats/guides one day and one another day - what a wonderful experience! It even hailed on us briefly while we were fishing and we still had a blast. Eagle Rock also scheduled a massage for one in our party (who doesn't fish) and she was pleasantly surprised at the value for such a great massage.

We took tons of pictures of Eagle Rock Lodge buildings and surroundings because they are beautiful! The furnishings are cozy, offering a very relaxing atmosphere. The view from the Fireplace Suite with the river in the background provided us with many incredible photos - the large window view looks like a mural in the background it is so picture perfect.

The travel from Springfield/Eugene has many incredible views where we stopped to take photos of waterfalls, the river views and the snowcapped mountains in the background.

The gift shop in the lodge was one of our favorite places to visit (daily) - the prices are better than any place and the items are great quality and variety.

The only thing I missed (briefly) was a television - but my blackberry worked just fine and I could get scores, news and weather this method.

I highly recommend this location for an individual wanting to just take a break from it all, a couple who wants a romantic atmosphere, a small group like us, or I highly recommend for a company/executives retreat. It goes without saying - this place would be incredible for a wedding. It is that beautiful.

The staff was so accommodating to our needs and wishes from building us a fire by the lake, keeping the fireplace logs stacked full in our room, starting the gas grill and providing serving ware for our "dinner in" one night, and providing fresh towels, linens, and, yes, plush his and hers lounge socks every day!

Eagle Rock pleases many age groups. Our party of four consisted of 3 women and 1 male (ages 31, 48, 59 and 71).

I can't wait to recommend Eagle Rock Lodge to friends, colleagues, and anyone wanting a fantastic getaway.
