We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room with balcony and kitchen had a magnificent ocean view. The room was clean and comfortable. The location of this property was walking distance to shops and restaurants and was steps away from the beach. The staff at the front desk was attentive and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely return to this property but making sure a ocean view/balcony room was booked.

We had a group of 50 people and were able to spend 1 evening at this wonderful hotel in June. The hotel is right on the beach and promenade with lots of shops and things to do within walking distance. After check-in, we walked around the town, did some shopping, swam, walked to Fultano's for pizza (which was large enough to seat our entire group), and then came back for a bonfire and smores on the beach (the hotel actually has all the supplies you need to have a bonfire & smores). Prior to our arrival, anytime I needed to call and ask questions, the manager Ron Blum, or anyone on his staff I spoke with, was so helpful and nice. Some people in our party enjoyed the continental breakfast that the hotel offers, while others enjoyed breakfast at Pig N' a Pancake which was close enough to walk to. With such a friendly staff, clean rooms with huge picture windows of the ocean, nearby shopping, and a bonfire with smores, our experience in Seaside was just perfect!!! Thanks Ron, Debbie, and the entire staff at the Seashore Inn.

Room Tip: Call and talk with Ron Blume or one of his staff members if unsure which type of room you would like...

The city of Seaside advertises its 4th of July fireworks display as one of the finest on the West Coast and if you add to that a terrific stay at the Seashore Inn, it all adds up to a memorable holiday. This property is situated right on "the Prom" for immediate access to the beautiful beach and a short stroll to the downtown area. Even though it is an older motel, the accommodations are well-mainained and a good value for waterfront lodging in a tourist town. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and we enjoyed a panoramic view from our 2nd story window. We were particularly impressed with the friendly staff who offered many helpful suggestions. (They even provided a private area for guests to see the fireworks--still within the action, but apart from the throngs of people down on the beach). We were quite happy to pull up our chairs, celebrate the 4th and watch the world go by at the Seashore Inn. In fact, we plan to do it again next year!

We spent one nite here coming up the coast on the way to Portland and a conference, based on reviews here. We had stayed next door the Shilo Inn on a previous trip about 15 yrs ago, and looked here based on more recent reviews. The good: it is family owned and they appear to live there; it is on the beach. The bad: rooms are fairly small, bath tubs are about half to two-thirds normal size; and no AC or fans. when we arrived, I was surprised that there was no AC. ventilation is opening your door on the balcony (and letting bugs in) and opening your front door and letting whoever walks by in. There is a small vent window in the bathroom, but you cannot very well leave it open while showering or using the BR as anybody walking by can look in. The front windows on the balcony have small slat style sliding windows with screens but are not enuff to bring in much air. I had gone down to ask about ventilation when we got there as room was closed up and temps outside were in the 70s, so it was rather steamy in the room. the response was open your windows/door etc. It did get comfortable after a bit, but you are subjected to outside activity/noise(when we were there an early beach soccer tourney was going on and kids hanging out at nite) on the boardwalk and beach with doors and windows open. Breakfast consisted of coffee and muffins, and I think there was some fruit or maybe yogurt. not much, but they let you know that upfront. there is also a pool facility adjacent to parking lot. In summary, the big draw is the location, not the accomodations, in my opinion anyway. It appears they probably get repeat business from families for the location season after season. I would probably look elsehwere if I stayed in Seaside (pretty much a tourist trap...western version of Panama City, but not as big) again. Staff/owners were friendly however.
