“NUDE!!!! bathing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2012

Crowded in Summer... try sunrise... expect lots of nudity and perhaps smoking in the area... 1/4 mile + walk to springs, gravel parking lot, no real restrooms, gravel road to get there, dusty in summer

“One of Oregons top wild hot springs!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 November 2012

Nothing can be better than sitting in a wild hot springs on a cold day with the beautiful Umpqua river rushing along below you. This area is densely forested with mossy rocks and dripping water, lending itself to peace of mind and relaxation of body! Bring some fine micro brews and some camping equipment to spend a few days, (camping available along the river nearby).

“Okay..if you don't mind the nude bathers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2012

I think the hot springs are fun and nice on a cold day especially in the snow (from past experience) but you need to be careful with children or even yourself because you are allowed to bathe nude...but anyone would know that if they read the bulletin right next to the bathroom that clearly states they allow nude bathers ...I even believe there is a sing that clearly says that nude bathers are allowed so it shouldn't be a problem because you are already informed

“Blue Moon & NIght Waterfalls”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 September 2012

We were driving from southern California to Seattle and decided to make a stop in Umpqua National Forest. One of the reasons we chose this beautiful place was to experience the hot springs. My friend and I had never visited a hot springs location before.

We arrived in the area around 11pm and it was so late. We almost decided to just wait until the morning but the research told us to try and experience it at night. Once you navigate through the park roads and get to the gravel road leading to the parking area (its a little scary, but totally worth it) you then have to walk a path for about a mile. We started this journey in complete darkness and then used an app on our phones to provide some light and that made it easier to walk up.

Once we arrived at the hot springs we knew that it was completely worth it. The full moon was in the sky and it was a blue moon which made it a spectacular view. There's a waterfall across the way from the springs so when you sit there, whether in peacefulness or romance, it is absolutely incredible.

Some tips for newcomers: There will be nudity and as such you should be mindful that others won't want lights flashing at the tubs when you arrive (we were "oops" at that point). Bring some water and a bag to hold your clothes since the ground is wet and muddy.

Go on a full moon. Its really worth it.
