Clean, comfortable and affordable. Rooms have been recently remodeled. Nothing fancy, but nicely done. The manager was very friendly and personable and made us feel very welcome. Nice breakfast room with a great selection. All in all, a good experience for a great price. We would definitely stay there again.

My sister and I decided to take impulsive trip to the ocean to escape to smoke around Medford. We looked on the internet for a motel for he night and thought the Fir Grove might be good .... $85 and to photos looked inviting. After driving 3 hours we arrived. We got a small room (nothing like the photos), one bed instead of two, and no overhead fan (no air conditioning.) The price was the same.

This was an unexpected surprise to see a newly refurbished room/bathroom. Bed was comfortable but pillows need work . Close to restaurants and skateboard park. Right off 101 so bring ear plugs . Traffic noise can wake you in morning. Breakfast room has table inside and outside. There was a simple but good breakfast with bagels, cereal , coffee , Orange juice , fruit , honey and cream cheese and jelly, hard boiled eggs. Room has refrigerator and microwave and table and chairs. Flat screen tv. We'd stay here again very cute and good location to dunes and Ocean.

Have stayed here several times over past two years. Great location right on Hwy 101. Friendly owners/managers. Great prices. Comfortable rooms. No air conditioning but most rooms now have ceiling fans. Breakfast provided with the basics!

Stayed here for a quick three day trip of the Oregon Coast.

Not sure why anyone would give this place a five star rating. Yes, it's pretty good value for the money. However, the rooms are small, the walls are paper thin, and there is quite a lot of road noise since the motel is located right on highway 101. The room didn't even have a hair dryer.

On the positive side, I did like the hardwood floors and the convenience of having a kitchenette with refrigerator, oven, stove, plates, utensils and glasses. I also found the place to be very clean. No complaints there.

The bathroom was on the small side with a shower stall, no bathtub. It took a while for the water to warm up, so be mindful of that.

There are a few places to eat across the street: a Chinese restaurant, a prime rib and seafood place, and a comfort food diner. Like the motel, these were just okay, nothing special.

Don't get me wrong. This property is decent for the amount you pay, but I wouldn't want anyone to get an overinflated view of it from some of the unduly enthusiastic reviews on this site. Just go in with more realistic (and modest) expectations and you may find the Fir Grove adequate to your needs.
