An adequate accommodation for a cheap price. The staff were very welcoming when I arrived, explaining all the closeny areas/attractions and showing me through the hostel to my dorm. I was in the separate, second building which had an unpleasant odour of fish the whole 5 days I was there for! I stayed in an 8-bed dorm which was very spacious and semi separated into 3 rooms - a great layout! One bathroom for all 8 of us to share in which the shower curtains looked to be mouldy! There in another bathroom out in the corridor which was cleaner. The building and facilities are old, but sufficient, so long as they are kept clean!
The complimentary breakfast was just a loaf of bread with some spreads, which was usually running out BUT there is an amazing coffee shop right across the road!
I very rarely managed to get the wifi working in my dorm but it was usually fine in the main shared areas of building 1.
Overall...Pros: staff friendly and helpful, dorm rooms spacious, good location. Cons: questionable cleanliness, unpredictable wifi access.
I'd recommend the place as somewhere to sleep but the mouldy curtains and fishy smell will stay with me for a while!!
