We have a 4 generation team going to old fashioned ice cream parlors. This place ROCKED with their food and ice cream dishes. We had Grandma's Pot roast, Northwest sliders, grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup, then came the banana splits, chocolate malts and sundaes. The food was awesome. The only down fall was staff did not clean up our plates when we were done. We stacked them and handed them as staff were walking by. Staff even walked by our table with nothing in their hands with a pile of plates. We were truly grateful that the food was so awesome!

Went in for lunch. Waited 5 minutes and were not acknowledged. A table emptied so we sat down then the waiter muttered that he couldn't clean a table with people sitting at it so we left. STAY AWAY!

I watched DDD show mentioning this place. So when I had the opportunity to go to Portland, I wanted to try this place out. It's a really small restaurant but the food was really food. If I come back to Portland will be visiting this place again!

We got there about 3:45 for a late lunch and Chef Jeff very graciously served us. We went because this place was on The Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. The Sloppy Joe and Chocolate milkshake were awesome as was the American in Paris (grilled chicken). Jeff came to our table and talked to is a long time about how they made the TV show. Great diner, but very small. Recommended.

We saw this diner on the Food Network and decided to stop for lunch. We went mid-week after the lunch rush. Their hours are limited so check first. There is a parking garage on the same block for easy parking. The diner is small and you could walk right past it. We picked the table for 4 in the back - counter service with old fashioned stools also available. They make their own syrups so we all had flavored shakes. Delicious! We all enjoyed the Yukon smashed potatoes as the side and tried the Reuben burgers and sloppy joe sandwiches all served on Texas toast. We were stuffed by the end. Come hungry! The dum-dum lollipops on the table are a fun touch. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed the diner. Highly recommend!
