“Comfy, Welcoming and Pure Fun!”
Reviewed 17 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Welcoming is the word! This Farmhouse is invitingly comfortable like your very own slippers and fuzzy PJs. We were thrilled by the warm and sunny rooms, the serene and cozy spaces, the hidden words ("stretch" on a window over the kitchen sink!) incredibly delightful touches that made our stay, not just perfectly comfortable, but welcoming. This home is so elegant, very clean and tidy, extra thoughtful tidbits throughout, the level of comfort so extraordinary and yet, the space is pure fun. The views from every window are delightful and expansive. The private feel of the place is cozy and inviting. It’s exquisitely elegant without being untouchable. There is a graceful, joyful, creative, accessible feel throughout this hidden gem! This farmhouses elegance is in it's warmth and artistic touches. You feel as though you are cared for in this space. The hosts are welcoming beyond belief! Full of Portland knowledge. Incredibly helpful and well versed in all types of Portland fun, food, music, hotspots and shopping. The Hot tub is perfectly tucked into the backyard which is filled with SO many nooks, with art hidden throughout and again, touches that make it so very welcoming! This farmhouse experience is comfy and clean and worth it at twice the price!

This was the second time I have stayed at this house. It is delightful. The grounds are beautiful and feel very private. The house itself is a delight as well. The bedrooms are small but very comfortable with views to the beautiful yard. The kitchen is well stocked, the house is immaculately clean and decorated in a unique style that I wish I could imitate in my home. The owners are upstairs and very easy to contact with questions but maintain your privacy and are anything but intrusive. With a hot tub, multiple outside chairs and benches to read/dose/think deep thoughts, heated stone floor in the shower, a fire burning stove, it is hard to rouse yourself to make the short and easy drive to town.
I will stay here as often as I can.

“A great place in Portland. The country in the city!”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We absolutely loved staying at this charming house. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Sally provided us with a stocked kitchen, and said anything in the fridge was fair game. How generous is that! The kitchen had a great antique stove, and the antiques and art in the rest of the house were pretty cool. The garden behind the house was a rustic delight, and the hot tub was great after a day of biking around Portland.

As described, the house is not super accessible to public transportation, but certainly doable if that is your preference. We used our car and our bikes to get around, and Sally allowed us to use her bike as well.

If you want to stay in Portland but want to be in a quiet spot, the Farmhouse Cottage is definitely a great way to go.
