We stayed here for two weeks. It was great! We had a two bedroom/2 bathroom suite. Very accommodating for families. Great breakfast. Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Within walking distance from food places

One caveat - apparently this Homewood Suites (and maybe all of them) no longer do their weekend 'happy hour' thing. Pre-pandemic, you could practically skip dinner and eat at an early evening buffet and get wine and beer as well. That's gone.

We booked here for a few reasons - its proximity to the airport, its location on the east side of the city vs. our plans for this period in our trip, and the free breakfasts.

Breakfast here was probably the best of any of the 3 properties where we stayed this trip. This was the only place to offer bacon at least once (out of 2 days). I didn't leave hungry after either breakfast.

They also offered free bottled water, which was nice late in the trip when the 24-pack we'd purchased started running low.

As I stated above, if you are travelling east of Portland, this is a good location as it avoids having to travel through downtown. We used this hotel as a base for doing a loop out to Mt. Hood on our final full day in Portland.

The hotel is quite close to the airport. it is only a 5+ minute drive to return a rental car. One caveat - we used the closest gas station to fill up our rental the evening before returning it. Oregon's bizarre laws that require some station employee to pump your gas resulted in spilled fuel and 2 payment sessions, so you may want to gas up a bit further away.

If you are looking for a decent hotel close to the airport, this place is definitely worth considering.

The hotel had nice reviews so we were surprised - but not in a good way. . . . One reason we chose this hotel was the free shuttle service from the airport. After we landed, we called for the shuttle at 10:32 PM and were told that the shuttle service stopped at 10:30. We ended up taking a cab from the airport, and the 7 minute ride cost $45 (not the hotel's fault, but quite a shock). When we got to the room, we found a couple hairs in the tub and there was a towel - balled up on top of the floor lamp. We were shocked by the lack of thorough cleaning, but because it was late, we decided just to sleep in the room. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was better than the typical hotel continental. Maybe, it was just an off day for them.

William and Pam were great !
Room was clean and comfy. We had shuttle information but we took a Lyft instead as it’s short drive over from the airport.
Only thing is breakfast service could be improved but hey it’s free! Thank you for any amazing stay.

We stayed here for one night after flying into PDX late on the first day of our vacation. I have nothing bad to say about the cleanliness, customer service, location or anything else.
But...we were in a room on the first floor and we had without a doubt the worst bed of our entire 9 night vacation. It was wiggly and soft. Not soft in a luxurious way - more in a worn-out sinking springs way.
After this stay, we stayed in a few roadside motels, a state park vacation home, an Airbnb, and another Hilton property. All of them had much more comfortable beds and linen.
I've seen several reviews here referencing the comfort of the beds, so maybe they are updating and we weren't in one of those rooms. Hope they get to all of the beds soon because while this is a recommended location, the bed was not worthy of the price - and ultimately I was paying for a bed.
