A cool coffee shop combined with a bamboo furniture workshop - interesting combination. The coffee was pricey but amazingly good; we tried several espressos from different suppliers and also bought some beans which make a great brew at home as well.

Since Portland is very big on coffee I decided to try this location. For one I love the set up. The old lathe machines and other factory machines as décor and tables is awesome. I ordered a cappuccino and a croissant. The croissant was cold but the coffee...DELISH! So good I made another trip, out of my way, the next day to take a coffee to go!

This is my favorite coffee roaster in Portland. Great coffees available and the staff was friendly. A little expensive but worth it.I will be ordering their coffee often.

I've been at their Hawthorne shop plenty of times & like it quite a bit. Imagine my dismay when I asked at the counter what tea they had, and the guy said, "None. We only have coffee." I'm not sure I've ever had that experiences in Portland before. He wasn't that apologetic or that concerned either. So, I bought a pastry and stayed for as long as it took me to eat it. While I agree with others that the space is industrial and interesting, (Some of the woodwork is beautiful!) there are few comfortable seats. For instance, the seats against one of the back walls do have outlets as mentioned by other reviewers, but I had a book, and not laptop, so the lighting to read there was bad. In fact, it was difficult to find a seat where I wasn't intruding on someone's space. Since I don't drink coffee, I won't be back.
