We went on Valentine’s day and enjoyed our walk through the garden. They close at 4pm so get there early. It was interesting and loved the pond with the dragon and flowers. Great architecture. Make sure you go when it’s not raining.

A true gem in the middle of the city. Unbelievable that I've lived in the area for 25 years and never visited this beautiful sanctuary in the midst of a bustling city. We went as a group from work. A great change of pace. The tea room looked interesting, but we went on to lunch nearby. 1 hour if you visit only the garden, longer if you stay for tea.street-side, metered parking.

While the garden is small and interrupted by lots of city noises, it’s a beautiful celebration of culture. The tours are free with paid admission, and I highly recommend the tour. It gives you a better appreciation of the work put into making the place come alive. Definitely go to the tea house. It’s fast service and pleasant and very relaxing. If you’re able to sit in the upstairs area overlooking the garden, definitely ask for that. I tried the moon cakes with taro root filling, and they were excellent paired with the lavender tea. So glad I visited this garden.

It's pretty interesting to see in google maps a small block that's filled by this garden surrounded by a bunch of grey buildings. It's an interesting visit for sure especially if you haven't seen been to many Chinese cultured tourist spots but if you have, you probably won't be too excited to see it.

I've seen cemeteries in California that are larger and more decorated. Not to put this place down or anything, but you can probably be okay not seeing it if you've already been enlightened by some more popular Chinese spots.

Tickets are fairly cheap, but expect to be here for 30 minutes or less (Unless there's an event going on).

There is a 10 usd entry price, pretty but not amazing, maybe for 5. Some.plants and buildings and a gift shop in the end. Ok if bored, but not worth it if you have been in China
