As another solid four-star offering from the Portland Provenance mafia, the Woodlark sits in the middle of the central business district, with convenient walking access to light rail stops and all forms of quality transit that you’d expect from Portland. The décor here is worthy and respectful of the buildings’ historical heritage, while exuding a hip and contemporary atmosphere. Decidedly vintage urban America, the lobby and restaurant appeal with their attractiveness and comfort. The unfussy but wonderfully appointed rooms have very high ceilings which feel like a treat. The hotel even offers a houseplant menu, and indeed it delivers on the basics: cleanliness throughout, good room temperature controls, noise levels under control, reasonably comfortable bed, good toilet pressure and water temperature controls in the bathroom, sufficient supply of towels, nice lighting options in the room, enough electrical outlets to charge your piles of modern junk, workable wi-fi, competent housekeeping, and friendly and helpful staff. There’s almost nothing to dislike here.

Stayed here when it first opened in 2019, and came back. My favorite hotel in Portland — interiors are gorgeous, beds are comfy, and the food is fantastic. Mack at the front desk is especially helpful.

The hotel was a great downtown location! It was easy to walk to places to eat and sights. It is also close to transportation so it was great. The rooms are spacious, staff were amazing and I enjoyed my stay.

Stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed it. Great dining options nearby and the bars within the hotel were good. My room was very clean. However, room service isn't available and maid service didn't come daily. I had to request for more towels. Even with those minor hiccups I'd still stay at this hotel again.

The front desk staff were ALL super friendly, very helpful and professional which made our stay awesome! The corner room on the 4th floor was a great city view! It was designed well, it had a very comfy bed, little fridge, safe, a/c, blow dryer, glasses, water container, robes, desk w chair, a modern bathroom and black out curtains!!!!

The front desk gave us a “drink” every evening. The restaurant had yummy food. The lobby was so cute & fun looking! The bar in the back past the front desk was super unique. It was a speak easy at night and a high tea room during the day!! They have a coffee bar next to the front desk that made our mornings. They had bikes you could borrow as well. Plus a gym in the basement!

Such a fabulous 4 day stay at the Woodlark!
