Flew in from a work week in Seattle late on a Sunday night and is always nice to find friendly accommodating staff to check you in. Room very clean and woke up to a great view of the Columbia River in the morning. Easy Parking no fee and Pet Friendly. Only thing is the late night shuttle driver from the airport needs to drive straight down Marina Dr. along the Columbia River and not the long way of 205 to 14 and back to I 5 through Washington State. Great Place To Stay

We attended a multi-day event at the Red Lion and we really enjoyed ourselves. Room was large and comfortable. We appreciated the "green" efforts of the hotel, although no shower curtain was a little odd, the shower was huge and hot water was plentiful. All the staff was very nice and the hotel was very clean. We were in a third floor room with a nice view of the river...would not have liked a room on the first floor....kind of dark on that level. We ate at the restaurant once for dinner and once for breakfast. Dinner was ok but the breakfast...wow, try the Carmel French Toast....very good. My husband had the eggs benedict and raved about the portion (2) and the taste. There was a gala dinner for our event and while it was a buffet, the food was very good and desserts lovely. Cudos to the Red Lion....job well done.

Room tip: Ask for a room on the second floor or above and preferably one with a river view.

Hi, the staff were very accominating, they were professional and friendly.

The hotel is next to a beautiful river which has a very noisy and busy car bridge over it. The front of the hotel has a parking lot and what seemed be a highway close by.. I chose to have a room in the front as it was quieter.

The river was beautiful to watch, but does come with the constant sound of traffic,

There is a swimming pool and hot tub which seemed to be enjoyed by many.
The restaurant was yummy I would recommend the cesar salad with salmon.

We were at this hotel for a weekend event and really enjoyed the service and location. The rooms look right out on the river giving it an out-of-town feel with nice walks and easy access to shops and restaurants. We didn't need too many interactions with staff, but the service was good and the room well maintained. This is an older property so the plumbing showed a few signs of age, but this was minor. The conference facilities worked really well for our event and the relaxed ambience created a warm atmosphere. The surrounding area is a bit mixed with a semi-completed mall and quite a few empty lots around, so it's not a base for easy walking access to Portland attractions but it's a great base for an event.

Reserved a club level room with supposed city or river views, got one of the parking lot and highway. This was my only gripe, as the facility was spotless, rooms large, clean, and modern, staff were professional and very friendly. River view would have made it perfect. Wi-Fi strong and fast. Recommend.
