The lobby is gorgeous, ornate with glass, chandeliers and carved and polished wood from another time. You can even sit in the lounge and hear old tunes like Blue Moon.

The location in the Pearl District is awesome and close to some fabulous restaurants like Little Bird and the Imperial.

The rooms really need an overhaul. The carpet has recently been replaced, albeit with inexpensive carpet. The furniture is old and banged up.

Given the age of the hotel, it's really noisy, both from the street and hallways.

Given this, i'd probably stay elsewhere. Oh, and it's expensive!

The warm elegance of the building, the very nice, if small, restaurant and bar complete with baby grand piano player made for a very enjoyable business conference. I will return for a vacation stay soon.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front of the building.

No consideration for guest who smoke. There should be some where a guest could go and provided some comfort to enjoy a smoke break, wither it be roof top or some other location. One smokers post near the trash pick up area with no bench just did not work for me.

Room Tip: Need Refrigerators to store Medications

Really super hotel with comfortable beds, excellent bar and comfortable lobby for meeting and chatting to people. Excellent snacks and cocktails in the bar. Really handy location for Powell's bookstore, transport to convention center and many great downtown restaurants - particularly "Mother's" which may serve best breakfast in the US

Nice place, but the bed bug bites were unexpected. And they said they tested said they had the room tested and found no bugs and they found nothing, so they wouldn't reimburse me. Very disappointed with my experience.
