Pretty neat stop with spectacular views! Check out 5th and Oregon where there is a really neat overlook that oversees the Redfish Rocks Marine Reserve and the pier. High up enough that you get really good views...enough to even see a whale in the harbor area!

Each time we stopped and walked on the beach, the feeling was it was worth it.

One couple with their dog walked (and walked) and walked south. Lots of driftwood, lots of photos to be taken.

And the question below should BE SUNSET. This is Oregon and the Pacific is west. SUNSETS!

I'm from Florida so the change from those beaches to here are pretty amazing.

I'm listening to a fog horn in the distance as I write this. Glad I came.

Thank Bill C

Love the view here of the Oregon coast, been here several times, but today was at high tide and a storm was in, so the waves were just incredible to watch.

This small beach and impressive set of sea stacks is worth a stop on your way along the coast. It's not as dramatic or expansive as stops further south, but has some historic interest as the spot where heavily armed American traders/settlers clashed with the Native Americans in what might be called the battle but was more like a massacre, after which the Americans withdrew. Walking to your left along the beach you can get very close to some of the large sea stacks and examine the variety of rocks uncovered by the waves as part of the mélange picked up by the moving North American continent.

Absolutely one of my all-time favorite beaches in the world! Easy walking, mesmerizing place to gaze out at the ocean, gather rocks, watch whales feeding and spouting, have a picnic, and get your needed day at the beach.
