We visited on a beautiful sunny morning. The punch bowl is very cool. Along with the amazing views of the ocean and coast line. Worth making a visit too.

Amazing view and fairly easy walk to location. Much more impressive to be in the bowl than to view it only. Make sure you check the tide times, so you don't get stuck in the bowl! There are a few shops nextdoor and a great place to eat. Worth the stop.
I was driving around in Oregon on US 101 stopping at the various state parks. I had been to this one many times, but usually high tide. This time the time was out! If I had planned ahead I either would have come at high tide or I would have come as the tide was going out , so that I could have hiked down to explore the cave.
Worth the walk down to enter the bowl. Make sure you hit at low tide to enter. We went back to see it beginning to fill too...about 2 hours later.
This was a cool little area where you can look down into the "punchbowl" from above. The tide was in, so it had water. I know you can go down into it during low tide. We took pictures from above and checked out the little park that offered views down the coast.
The area has a few shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, the ice cream place was closed for the evening. This is not a long stop, but worth 20 minutes to check out and get some photos if you are not trying to go down into it at low tide.
Went at low tide and saw people walking at the bottom. Worth the time to go see it. Tide pools much better at Yaquina Head Natural Area but the stair descent and climbing back up was good exercise!
