“GREAT PLACE TO STAY”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2012

We arrived with no reservation had a discount coupon and received a fabulous room at a great price. It had a fireplace and balcony with a wonderful ocean view. The staff were extremely helpful and we loved the breakfast and the evening cookies. Parking was very convenient.

We loved our stay at the Elizabeth Inn. Easy check in, convenient luggage carts, great size rooms with beautiful view. We especially like the closeness to the historic district in Newport and the beach...both an easy walk. Very helpful and polite employees. Great hot breakfast available, warm cookies in the evening and easy parking. It made for a delightful stay.

Room Tip: Breakfast is served in the lounge on the third floor.

Our family of 4 with two teenaged boys stayed here one night. We were pleased with our ocean front room. Spacious, modern looking, clean. However, the pilot light in the gas fireplace is kept on year around and actually emits a good deal of heat. Although cool and foggy, the room was too hot and I had to crack the sliding door to keep the room from being too hot. We could also hear the people above us walking, but fortunately they were pretty quiet. The elevator is slow slow slow, so take the stairs whenever you can. You have to walk a block or so in either direction to get to the stairs down t the beach. We drove down to the bay district just a short drive away for seafood dinner. Many choices there. The buffet breakfast on the third floor had a pretty good selection (premade omelettes, bacon, toaster breads, cereal, yogurt, fruit, but no pastries) I would probably give this location 4 stars if it weren't for the pilot light issue we had in our room.

We only stayed one night as we were just passing through. We had a north facing, fourth floor room and the view was amazing! From the north window we could see the lighthouse and at night the lantern was beautiful. The room was very clean and had a fireplace. Breakfast was included and had a nice selection of items to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I booked the room I mentioned it was our anniversary and when we arrived there was a bottle of sparkling cider and two glasses waiting for us in our room.
The only negative...they only have one elevator and it is SLOW. We didn't mind...we were on vacation and had plenty of time! :)

We enjoyed our stay at the Elizabeth Street Inn. The room was large with a separate sitting area and a large bed. It looks like it may have been updated in the not too distant past. It is beachfront (though a short walk to beach access). It's a short distance from the historic Nye Beach district. The fresh baked cookies were a great touch. Only drawbacks: slow elevator and an excessively loud toilet.
