Milwaukie Inn is a very basic, no frills motel directly on a main road.

The good:
-The room had 2 beds, a small fridge and microwave, and a decent TV.
- Everything worked and the room was clean 'nuf (though don't look TOO closely).
- Free wifi
- The shower had good water pressure
- Ice machine outside
- Never had parking "contention" and could usually park near the door.

The not so good:
- Very close to the main drag so lots of street noise all the time.
- The room decor was old, dated and rather depressing (after 3 days, I wanted to paint it myself).
- The rugs have likely not been replaced in years.
- The bath towels were thin and very well worn. Should be replaced.
- No coffee in the morning! WHAT???
- Price was on the high side especially considering the location and dated rooms. $80+ a night? Really? but we needed to stay in the area so sucked it up...

Overall: Not bad for a quick overnight but gets old very quickly for multiple nights.

Thats all i know because i stayed in this room. Reception is a small room with a desk. Rooms A/C is working a bit noisy. You might think like a big engine truck is working next to your room. But apart from that, it is ok. Noise in the morning? I did not hear l was sleeping. Courtyard/parking lot is causing this. But it is good that l parked my vehicle right in front of my room. Over all this hotel is not bad. If you could get the right price from priceline or hotwire.... Etc

Check in Aug. 2015. Despite a non smoking room we requested, the room has some remnant smoke smell and we have to ask for air freshener to compensate. Linen looks and smell like they haven't been changed, in fact they're dirty with smudges still left on it...yuck. Hotel appears dated and near the road so noise is close by. Good parking and close to nearby restaurants and grocery stores. Friendly staff.

Room Tip: choose non-smoking room furthest from the street to avoid road noise.

We had a HUGE room (we were given room #25) but...do NOT use your GPS to get to this place. It will send you across to the other side of town and insist that a gravel company is your destination (?!) We were already arriving late (after 10:30 p.m.) and literally were just sleeping there to get up very early the next morning and get to a festival. We called the office to ask for directions and the woman was not any help saying she did not know where we were (unaware of this huge gravel company), what the cross streets were and that there is a "big sign outside, you can't miss it".

We finally found the place, got checked in (inside the teeny tiny office that is hard to even turn around in and my husband and I are not wide people) and went to sleep.

The shower was great, the noise was not too bad from the highway and the internet connection was okay. No breakfast, which should be included for the price you pay. So...steeply priced for what you get but better than the over $300 other places were asking closer to the festival.

Had to take pillowcases to office, made just turned them over and they had what looked like makeup all over them. Office lady wanted me to bring dirty ones back with for maid next day..she did not want to touch them but I was to use them. If cases were not changed then sure bed was not either. Toilet used and left, no lock on window, and it is 2:30 am and no sleep which is what I paid 102 for, due to people next door constantly yelling and what sounds like throwing furnature against walls. Called office 3 times..said would deal with them but no change. Would leave but all others are booked solid and don't want spend night in car on streets of p town. Insisting on refund no matter what it takes.
