Pura Vida is a small, casual downtown place with a very unusual Latin American menu. The lunch menu is reasonably priced ($75 for 6 people, without alcohol). We all enjoyed the refried black beans, guacamole, fried plantain appetizers, and brewed ice tea. Excellent chicken cesar salad, mini paella, vegetable sopes, and smoked trout taquitos. Pleasing presentations, ample quantities, great flavors, consistent quality, and service with a smile combine to make this restaurant great. Call for reservations. Recommended.
