My child is nuts about helicopters and for his 3rd birthday I found that Konect Aviation offers a short and sweet helicopter ride that was perfect for our toddler and the price was absolutely, no questions - worth every bit of it!!! He was silent during the trip which told me he was paying attention and in awe - some of the photos are priceless for the experience we were able to share. From the engines starting up, buckling in, the headphones (!!!!!!!) with a microphone (!!!!), lift off, "being big", and landing and getting to sit in the pilot's seat - it was a perfect experience all the way around. Our pilot, Kim, was patient, competent and polite - thank you again!!! My son came home and named his toy pilot after him - - sooo fun!!!
Thank you so much for this great review. We're glad there is another Kim out there flying toy helicopters! Thank you!
I was looking for something to give my wife and 2 grandchildren for Christmas, and I must say this experience fit the bill. The plan was to take a helicopter to Pacific City, fly along the ocean to Glen Eden, land at the Siletz Airport, get a shuttle to Salishan lodge for lunch, and after lunch take a little more flight time, and then a return to McMinnville Municipal Airport.
Konect Aviation Oregon provided exactly what I was looking for. The two receptionists I met provided all the information I needed to get started. They were very helpful and very knowledgeable.
Weather could be an issue, so we just waited for the best possible weather in McMinnville and the Oregon Coast where Salishan Lodge is located. Good weather finally arrived, and a day was set.
The day of the flight I met Ingo Nehls, the Founder/Operations Manager, and Helicopter Pilot. Ingo was very professional, friendly and accommodating. After determining the weather was acceptable he gave out all the safety instructions, belted everyone up, started the helicopter, and off they went.
I am very very satisfied with KONECT and would recommend this company if you want the experience of a lifetime.
This is a five star company.
Thank you John for booking that beautiful flight and also for the great review!
Couldn't have asked for a better time! Ryan is an awesome pilot that makes sure you're safe and having a great time. Beautiful views of the area and a wonderful time overall!!
What fun! We were picked up in Portland and whisked down into wine country, but more so, we got a detailed tour with our pilot (Ingo) pointing out towns, wineries and mountain ranges.
There is nothing like landing at a winery in a helicopter to put a smile on your face. Not only would I recommend it, I would do it again and again and again.
We flew with our grandson to Mt. Saint Helen's as a graduation present. It was fantastic. Ingo was our pilot and he was very professional and friendly pointing out different places as we below us traveled. Everything certainly looks different from the sky. Great trip I'd recommend to anyone who is able.
This was a fun indulgence for the day. The weather was a little on the damp side, but we enjoyed it all the same. Went to three different wineries in the area, and had ample time to sample their various selections. Our Pilot Ingo Nehls was very informative, telling us facts about the area. Showing us a lot of different items to help us understand how the different types of grapes are determined for the areas of the valley as the soils vary greatly. Also learned about the hops that are grown in the area. There is an aircraft museum and water park in McMinnville that is very interesting if you have the time to check them out. If you want to have a fun day, I highly recommend taking this tour! There are other tours offered if you don't want to do the wine tour, it is about a hour drive to the airport from Portland. No gratuity is suggested, but, I tipped Ingo with a couple bottles of Reisling, which I found out is one of his favorite wines.
