Service and food were good. Still a little rough around the edges. Busy Friday and the service was rushed. Offered pepper for the salad and then forgot. Food was interesting and creative. Had a really good steak tartare and quail which you don’t see on menus everyday. Also a great rock fish. Would definitely return. Good wine list and a full bar.

This is a very small place with a small menu, but the food was incredible. Everything we tasted was outstanding. The service was good and efficient. They have BYOB with corkage for $20 but they also have an extensive and very nice wine list.

On our first visit to McMinnville a friendly local recommended Thistle. We took one look at the menu and the charming dining room and immediately made reservations for the following night. The menu showcases the very best of local purveyors, and is thoughtfully designed for both flavor and beautiful presentation. Emily guided us with superb wine choices. We felt like part of the family!

5 people serving 7 tables, 5 days a week. These folks are passionate about farm-to-table. They live it. What’s available determines what they serve.
We shared a rabbit pate, followed by sautéed rock fish with fresh veggies. Portions ample, but not over powering.
One of the “5” is an expert mixologist - best old fashion I’ve had in years. Catch the bar, if not the full Monte.

We like small intimate restaurants with good service and interesting local food. This is the best place we have found in our area. Emily, the owner, was amazing. She was attentive to our every need from the moment we arrived at the restaurant until we left. The food was delicious, beautiful presented and very unique. There were four choices of entries from local sources so our table of four tried all of them. We all thoroughly enjoyed everything.
We travel to France a lot and found the atmosphere, food and presentation similar to our experience in small high end restaurants there.
I’m just sorry that I did not take pictures to share.
