“Quiet & relaxng with great view of the ocean”
Reviewed 8 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A home away from home. We never left the condo all week other than to walk the beach and visit with neighbors. Compound felt safe and the beach was steps from our room. Kitchen was well stocked--Having a separate bedroom and a second bathroom made it easy for each of us to have our own space.
Cant wait to go back again.

“Perfect location on beach but condo in desperate need of TLC.”
Reviewed 23 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Well, I guess you could say "bad news" first. When we walked in we were overpowered with the odor of rotten fish. We quickly opened the bedroom window and patio door. I traced the smell to the freezer, which we ended up not using. Maybe some baking soda would have helped absorb the smell like when you use it in the fridge.
I must say the condo could use some TLC! Yikes!!
The carpet was disgusting and needs to be cleaned or removed.
The drapes are in disrepair. You have to use your hand to open and close the drapes on the bedroom window because the "pull" is not screwed into the wall plus the screen has a slash in it. There is nothing on the sliding door to open/close that drape and the door does not lock, so maybe that is why there was a stick in the door, plus it had no screen door.
There are electrical outlets in the bedroom that do not work, by the bedroom window and in the bathroom.
A light bulb needs to be replaced in that bathroom. The vent is extremely noisy....like it is on it's last leg.
The sink in the bathroom by the kitchen is slow to drain and needs to be "unclogged".
We could find no extra trash bags, unless they were in the locked cabinet in the kitchen.
We ended up not cooking but did use the coffee maker, a few spoons and a couple of glasses and kept some soda pop in the fridge.

Now the "good" news. The condo is located in a wonderful place on the beach which is the main reason I rented it. The kitchen (aside from the freezer odor) was clean. The bathrooms were clean and linens adequate. The beds were nicely made ...too hard for me but we slept okay. The furniture worked well for the four of us. Yes the price was right but you still expect reasonable care taken for whatever you pay for.
I can't say I would rent this condo again or recommend it to others because of the "cheap motel" feel. I would definitely rent it again if it were maintained better.
The two Texans we had with us enjoyed the weather and the beauty of Oregon.
