Facilities are good, clean, modern, and in good repair. The owner has taken "penny pinching" way to far, with NO discounts aarp, aaa, etc. Their is a "money minimalistic" approach in everything here! From toilet paper to continental breakfast... everywhere you turn cheap!! The owner is unfriendly and appears bothered while working in the capacity of front desk host. This place could be so much better...how sad.

I have stayed here three of four times a year for ten years. I love the large rooms and they have always been friendly-maybe since they see me often they are nicer than to new people? (That would not make any business sense though)

Last minute trip to the beach, stayed in room 414.

The Pro's - close to beach.

The Con's - Unfortunately with the nice weekend hotels were booked found a double Queen here for $169.

1. Very hard bed, inadequate bedding, extremely flat pillows, and each bed only had two. (We asked for four more pillows but were only allowed two)

2. Not even a chair to lounge in, I swore the website stated there was one in room. A table with two uncomfortable chairs provided.

3. The filth! One bed was pulled a bit away from the wall, my partner looked behind and saw a cell phone caked with dust. We retrieved the cell and found that the layers of filth didn't end there, but continued under the bed, behind and under lamps, the TV area, window sill area. It was just disgusting. We returned the cell to the front desk, although I'm quite sure the owner is long, LONG gone, since the amount of dust on the phone looked like months worth.

If we had not checked in so late and had kids with us I would of left. At almost $170 for the night, we were robbed. We also found extra items in the bed. What looks like a soul insert and some other linen thing. We did not sleep in the beds, did not use any cups, cannot confirm, but my guess is if the rest of the room is as filthy, they probably do not properly wash their cups, but probably just rince them.

On a whim, my darling and I, decided to head down the coast after growing bored with a local casino and ended up at The Palace Inn. I walked in, made a request for a room with a hot tub late on a Saturday night and got exactly what I asked for. Extra large room with king, fairly firm comfortable bed and lots of pillows. The room was decorated in faux provincial furnishings to go along with the theme of the place. Gas fireplace was cozy and hot tub for two, relaxing, Everything was clean and in newer condition including the carpet and tubs. Basic amenities provided such as coffee maker and mini fridge. Fun, whimsical decor and ground ornaments like the cross-eyed totem poll out front plus friendly staff to boot so will definitely keep them on our "places to stay in Lincoln City" list! HAPPY TRAILS!

Room Tip: We stayed up on the top floor (4th) which was quiet but keep in mind vending machines and ice are only on the bottom floor.
