Country House Inns Jacksonville
Ranked #5 of 8 Jacksonville B&B and Inns

My friends and I were delighted to pull up to the beautiful Reames House in Jacksonville, OR. It was a much easier drive from the I5 than expected. One after another, details charmed us, from the stained glass in the door, to the sitting area in the room to the claw foot tubs and comfortable beds.

There were several fun “hang out” areas at the house, we spent hours enjoying the view from the Adirondack chairs overlooking the front yard and the grotto-like back patio.

Once we went inside, we were even more delighted. Downstairs is a sitting area, large kitchen and a dining room, which we didn't use (It all looked clean and in good repair though). Several good restaurants were recommended to us, and were just a few blocks walk away.

Although it was a cute historic place to get away, I was happy to have good coffee in the room, a decent wi-fi signal and a fun, eclectic selection of books. I was especially excited to see the nice towels and selection of Aveda toiletries. We briefly met Marina the head housekeeper and loved her. The front desk staff were helpful and check-in was a breeze.

I recommend the Reames House for someone staying in Jacksonville, or the area. I wish I had an excuse to host a group of people in order to rent out the entire house, and hope to come back soon.

This Inn has a number of Cottages scattered around Jacksonville. We have stayed in two and they were both charming, comfortable, clean and roomy. These cottages are Bed and Breakfast quality at the price of a standard hotel room. Best of all the staff is very helpful and friendly. Lydia and Jeff made us feel like we arrived at our home away from home. We will be back!

We stayed at one of the Wine Cottages and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Everything is within walking distance in Jacksonville, and our cottage was just far enough away to be a nice retreat. I took advantage of the Adirondack chairs in the front yard each morning to enjoy a cup of tea and read the paper. The room had a small woodstove (not needed in August!) and a great King bed. Maid service restocked each day. In my opinion, great inns are separated from good inns by the way in which exceptional circumstances are handled. Without going into details, we encountered a frustrating situation that was difficult to resolve, but when we talked to the innkeeper about our problem, he came through with flying colors! Obviously the Inns are involved with the community and want everyone to have the best experience possible. We certainly did and would recommend this place without reservation!

I stayed at the Wine Country Inn for three days and I had a great time. The room was quiet, clean, and spacious and was a short walk to downtown Jacksonville. The staff was very friendly and helpful in recommending good places to eat and fun things to do in the area. I especially liked the tables and chairs in the shade which was a perfect place to relax outside and have a coffee and read. I think the hotel was a very good value for the money and my dog enjoyed it as well!
