Thank you for reviewing. The bulk of the WAAAM collections spans the Golden Age of Transportation and Aviation - roughly the 1910s through the 1950s or so although we do have some pieces on display that get up into the 60s and 70s too.

We're talking acres of airplanes and automobiles all beautifully displayed with good information. Volunteers are most helpful and are always available and about to answer questions and offer information.

Thank you for reviewing. While our visitor guides, handouts, videos, and posted display signs help tell the story of the WAAAM collection, we always encourage folks to talk to our tour guides when they have questions or want stories about the things on display.

Thank you for the review. Our average visit runs about 2.5 hours to see it all. Tickets are good for the whole day too so you can take breaks during your time at WAAAM too.

I believe they told us that there were 3 1/2 acres under the roof of their building to house this awesome collection of vintage planes, autos, motorcycles and antiques. You don’t have to be a plane/car buff to enjoy it. Easy to stroll through. Everything in here - we are told - can still be driven or flown. Lots of video displays too plus vintage signage. Several working mechanics shops inside where I imagine they do some restoration work.

Thank you for reviewing. WAAAM has two full restoration shops - one for automobiles and one for airplanes - to keep the fleet up and running. Much of the behind-the-scenes auto work can be seen on our display floor but to get a peek at the action in the aircraft shop visit on a Second Saturday event for a tour of this outbuilding.

My husband and I donated a rare 1931 Stearman Model 4D Jr. Speedmail to the museum. It was our preference that the airplane fly and the museum assured us that they do fly their airplanes. It has not flown in over a year due to a problem they are claiming. We were assured it would fly, summer, 2018. Didn't happen. We owned this aircraft for 33 years and have flown it for many, many hours both locally and on many long cross countries, and in all kinds of wind and weather. We never had an accident or problem with the airplane. It is obvious that they are overreacting. In fact, it was flown transcontinental, over the Rocky mountains to be delivered to them. They haven't even listed it on their web site among their collection. I have sent them documents/pics regarding it's history and have never even gotten a simple thank you. This is a RUDE organization. We are so very sorry we donated our airplane to them.

Thank you for your feedback. Rest assured WAAAM appreciates your partial donation of this purchased aircraft. While undergoing annual inspection there were several problems with the tail surfaces based on old-age wear that the inspector discovered and must be fixed to comply with FAA standards in order to fly. As we are a living history museum we are working on fixing it because like you we want to see it up again too.

Thank you for the review. WAAAM focuses on the golden age of transportation and aviation - roughly the 1910s to the 1960s or so. We get our collection out and about on the Second Saturday of the month but occasionally we give something a test for visitors to enjoy at other times too.

If you are anywhere in the area, take the time to visit this 3.5 acre indoor antique airplane, car and motorcycle museum. I thought it was going to be a typical tourist trap. My son, wife and I were amazed at how well this museum is set up. Be prepared to spend a few hours there, it will be worth it. The volunteers that work there are super friendly and very knowledgeable. We rode motorcycles there and they let us store our helmets and jackets in their office. Highly recommend to everyone.

Thank you for reviewing. Because we are a living history collections our displays are often shuffled around to take them out to fly and drive or to help tell a different part of the transportation story. New items are also routinely added by the volunteer crew in our restoration shop finishing up projects. The more you visit the more there is to see and enjoy.

Thank you for the review. Memberships are available for those that can't pack all the fun into one day's visit. Visitors can apply their admission price toward a membership at the end of their visit on that day too.

If old cars and planes are your thing then this is for you. Unsurprisingly the emphasis is heavily on American equipment but there are some European examples.

The thing I liked best is that this is not a static display but these are in. The main fully air/road worthy and they get them out regularly.

Sadly I missed seeing them out and only saw them on display but check their web site for action days.

Loved it.

Thank you for reviewing. On the Second Saturday of the month WAAAM opens up its hangar doors for a play day with the collection. It is one thing to intellectually know that the collection can still get fired up and it is another thing to see and experience it for yourself on these special days.
