The location was good, within walking distance from all amenities. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. However there is no a/c and the donut and coffee take away breakfast that was offered was not available until after 7:30. We were on the road by then. And sadly we found both the check-in and also the check-out persons not overly helpful or friendly.

Hi retiredvancouver,

Thank you for staying with us and for taking time to post a review. We're glad you enjoyed the clean room and comfortable bed. A/C is rarely needed here on the Central Oregon Coast and to install it for use only 15 to 20 days out of the year is prohibitive. We're sorry the timing of our lobby opening and breakfast service didn't work out for you this time and we'll speak immediately with staff as anything less than super frriendly and helpful is below our standards. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.

We stayed at the Old Town on a weekend during shoulder season - the hotel was full, but the town was not. The location is great; you're just a block or so away from old town Florence, which is quaint and has several good restaurants and pubs, and a nice boardwalk on the Siuslaw River. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a

Hi kbrine2018,

Thank you for this nice, detailed review of The Old Town Inn in Florence and for choosing to stay with us during "shoulder season." Florence has great weather at times other than summer (but shhhh...don't tell). Please come again soon.

I recently stayed at Old Town Inn as well as The River House Inn (it's sister property in Florence) and had the distinct pleasure of photographing select room models and the hotel grounds for their website and future promotional projects. The staff was very friendly and supportive, eager to help in any way, and the room I stayed in was clean, warm, pleasant and very comfy. I enjoyed myself a great deal. I would highly recommend both the Old Town Inn and The River House Inn whenever you stay/pass through Florence.

Gentleman at the front desk at check in was a bit curt, needs to learn to greet customers in a more welcoming way! The lady who was there later was very good and gave us some good local tips. Rooms were just fine, clean and well appointed. Yes, we'd stay there again.

Room Tip: We were on the ground floor which was convenient for unloading and loading luggage and it was quiet.

Room 101. Having visited Florence several years ago we wanted to visit Old Town again and chose the Old Town Inn because of close proximity. The Inn was clean, the bed was in need of a mattress change as the sides were worn down from excessive sitting on the edge. Someone had practiced chin ups on the shower curtain and had damaged it to the point of replacement (management was advised). As a previous writer noted it is hard to convert older motels. The 'grab and go breakfast' offered, we passed on and found a nice coffee shop and visited the local folks.
Note unless you are an early riser please be advised Hwy 101 is less than a 100 yards from the motel and trucking is a common source of cargo movement on the highway.

Room Tip: Best Western is just across the bridge

Hello Al S,

Thank you for making a point of staying with us and noting the cleanliness of the room and our great proximity to all the food and fun in Historic Old Town. We always encourage travelers, whether they stay with us or anyone else, to notify management at any time they find that makes their stay less than perfect. We understand that staying in a strange place comes with potential distractions. That's why we provide "white noise" devices on the bedside table in every room. They seem to help many of our light-sleeping guests. Thank you for notifying us of the shortcomings you found. Be assured, everything was replaced and updated about four years ago, and maintence is a constant. The shower rod has already been replaced. Please give us another try next time you're in town.
