Cafe Soriah is a hidden gem. Excellent food and attentive servers. A great special occasion place. Reservations required. Even when it is busy it still feels intimate.

Absolutely unparalled in this town!
This is Middle Easter/Mediterranean food at it's finest!
It won't be the cheapest meal you eat in Eugene, but it will be the best!
Take your time, enjoy the company, enjoy the food, enjoy the space!

We were in town from the East Coast for a meeting and found this to be a gem. People were very friendly and we had a lovely table on in the courtyard. Food was delicious. Interesting local wines too.

Cafe Soriah offers wonderful Mediterranean food in a simple and tasteful manner. From the outside this looks like a small cafe but inside there are several rooms for diners. We enjoyed fresh, delicious salads and interesting small plates. The main course was lamb, served simply, and a delicious ravioli with browned butter sauce. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were quite reasonable for the high quality of the food.

There are many things to like about Café Soriah in Eugene. This is a family owned and run business with a limited but good menu, modest prices for wine, and a beautiful courtyard for the summer months.

We started with a suprisingly garlicky roasted beet salad served on a bed of spinach and fennel. It was excellent accompanied by some warm and tasty bread from a nearby bakery.

My sweetheart ordered the Steak Diane which is a retro 1960's dish which has disappeared from most 21st century American restaurant menus. Her large portion of steak was covered with a delicious red wine, mushroom, and butter sauce. However, the large serving of mashed potatoes was over-salted and she left most of it on her plate.

My serving of braised lamb shanks was also impressively large. I was expecting only one, not two . Unfortunately, the meat itself was over-cooked and dry like it had been roasted not braised. The large pearl couscous was flavorful and delicious.

We ordered a bottle of red bordeaux wine which was reasonably priced. It's nice to dine in a bistro where the owners treat wine as a neccessary part of the meal, and not a profit center.
